Do you think it's unfair though? That is the question. I am not blaming you. I am blaming the Tory party because they are in Government.

I wasn't unsure though so how could i ring up? I believed I didn;t have to sign on until my next appointment with the advisor. I had no idea my claim had been stopped until i got my P45 in the post 3 weeks later and phoned them to find out why they had sent it to me.

No I do not think it's unfair and no its not their fault as they never forgot to sign on!

They have to clamp down on false claims and the like and so it should be if people cant be bothered to sign on and/or show they are actively looking for work sign them off.

The back of the booklet says: you may lose your JSA if you do not attend on the dates and times shown.

Sorry but you will just have to appeal if you think they are wrong.

Honestly, you all have terrible attitudes. I certainly wont be coming back here or recommending this site to anyone.
Do any of you understand the word compassion? what has blame got to do with it? I am not blaming the JSA people either. They do what the Government wants them to do.

I knew you would say that! That's a TORY attitutde. No compassion whatsoever. Why do you feel the need to say 'they have to clam down on false claims'. My claim is not false. What has this got to do with me and my prpblem?
Why do you mention 'if people can't be bothered to sign on..'
This has nothing to do with me.
Sounds like your interpretation of my problem is that I couldn't be bothered to sign on.
Thank you all you TORIES for your lack of compassion. I should have expected nothing else.

Just because something may be unfair by your opinion it does not make it discriminatory in law.

You have admitted that you didn't notify in writing the DWP of your disability but that you told her the first time you saw her. Well if she is questioned about this (and I doubt she will be, like as not, her response will be either she didn't tell me that or I don't remember her saying that). So if you haven't officially told them you are disabled how can they ensure they make reasonable adjustments for you (assuming they are even supposed to).

You don't seem to be hampered in getting your opinion across here when you don't like the response so when the "advisor" was bombarding you with paper and forms and information why did you not act like an adult and ask her to slow down and go over things again?

Sorry, you might not like this but as an adult you are responsible for ensuring that you follow the rules of whatever organisation you are dealing with - be that DWP or an employer and that includes not claiming discrimination because you think that it's a get out of jail card for free. So while the rules around JSA may be unfair, they are not in themselves discriminatory.
