And totally agree that black humor can be excellent - perhaps I'm just raising issue with the quality of the p!ss-taking - maybe it's just not actually funny enough - go for it, do your worst!
you think i'm gonna risk losing my reputation as a caring sharing landlord just to please your sense of the "worst" - no waaaaay !!!!!
And another thing.. why that boiler-clerk thinks she can keep my £425 deposit when she reckons i owes her £4,500 defeats me... tight old witch0 -

Er yeah, apart from paying the rent of course.
The mindset that's baffling is that there appear to be so few landlords who understand the difference between the two concepts of 'renting' and 'owning'. It really is worrying that the UK rental market seems to have been taken over by morons who somehow find this irrelevant and misguided attempt at humour 'amusing', demonstrating their total misunderstanding of what 'renting' actually means (ps heres a hint, its in the dictionary).0 -
Cor blimey. Nice way to harsh all our mellows. Ta for that, Mr Wet Blanket.0

So long as the mortgage lender doesn't give the OP two months notice cos he wants somewhere for his granny to live.
OR OMG what if the lender gets wind of the OP having a dog, perhaps he can put a peg bag on it's head and pretend it's deceased?0 -

Now you see to be a wet blanket, the OP would have actually have had to have something funny about it, not just being a thinly disguised attack at tenants. Post something funny and you'll have no complaint from me0 -
I dispute the "thinly disguised" bit. There wasn't anything disguised about it at all. Still, the whole thing was a laff, so what the hell.
Wet Blanket Mk II signing off0 -

It's gently pointing out that tenants do get something for their rent. It's not all dead money, and also that some tenants probably unreasonably expect rather a lot from their LLs.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
My (oil) boiler has been spouting black smoke out of the flue, and not really getting the radiators hot, so I called out the boilerman.
He's found the pump was faulty, was overworking, and the excess heat had melted componants in the boiler.
How long is it fair for me to be without heating? Christmas is coming and it's cold outside, but my mortgage lender doesn't seem to care.
Surely they should make sure the repair guy gets the parts asap and gets the heat back on?Here fishy, fishy, fishy!

Well, as the wet blanket with a warped sense of humour I can only say thanks to everyone who contributed - whichever side they came down on.
If you found it amusing, great.
If you felt the humour was poor - well, I'm not a professional comedian and anyway, NO comedian can please 100% of the people 100%....
And the boiler? Still waiting for parts with no sign of them materialising. BRRRrrrrrr!0
