I have had a few developments, earlier on a friend of mine sent the link to the YouTube video to the BBC and ITV news desk's. Within 30 minutes they were on the phone requesting interviews.
I did accept, on the condition that Amazon were given another day to respond and to allow me to inform them of my intentions.
I emailed the MD of Amazon UK's email account advising them of the situation (again) and that the BBC and ITV were interested, but saying I wanted to give them a chance to rectify the situation.
15 minutes later the secretary of Amazon's MD called me saying that they had re-sent the items they had in stock, had issued refunds for those that they couldn't and apparently the MD of Amazon had personally called Nikon UK to ask for a camera and lenses to be sent to me, for delivery by 9am tomorrow morning.
In addition to that they had credited my Amazon account with £150 as a good will gesture.
I must say that I'm incredibly impressed they'd go to such lengths and if they are as good as their word I will be very pleased indeed.
Well done Amazon.
Shoite.
*sigh*Herman - MP for all!0 -

Must be great to *really* know stuff about a stranger and their situation.
Must also be really great to know who is being 'very gullible'.
You don't *know* any more than the rest of us.
This site really p*sses me off sometimes. And that goes for all those who troll AND those who comment in such a way about others.
However I am prepared to eat my words and offer an unreserved apology, if the OP will post the pictures they took in situ, showing this pile of soggy broken goods.0 -

Well given all the cr*p responses and "abuse" they've received for a genuine complaint (what happened to being nice to fellow moneysavers???), then it's a good post!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

I was helpful, but look at the time lines, 7pm, 53 minutes later hes had it all resolved by a secretary and the main man at Nikon...if only the world worked like that...0 -
The timeline seems believable to me.
I had a load of issues with Phones 4U & T-Mobile recently. After 5 days of being told by P4U & T-mobile customer services that nothing could be done, and after repeatedly being told "computer says no", I e-mailed the CEO of Phones 4U. This was at about 6pm.
At 6:35pm, I received a phone call in response to my e-mail, and everything was rectified, even from T-mobile's side, within 30 minutes.
I was well impressed0 -
which basically says what? with the threat of natioanl exposure they will soon offer you all the products they said they didnt have?0
-
perhaps the op could share a pic of the damaged items?0
