Amazon Woes (with video)

Thats shocking of the courier.
But I don't understand how this one parcel can ruin a whole Christmas! Christmas to me is more about being with the people you care about & love and just enjoying yourself, and less about the more materialistic aspect of receiving gifts.
Do I hold back on one childs gifts on Christmas day because the other hasn't got much to go by? IT was unfortunate that it was pretty much everything of value for one person in that package0 -

No you don't. But you explain to the child she/he has also got other gifts not yet arrived -- he/she may be frustrated having to wait longer naturally, but children are easily distracted (all you need is a shiny object or some sweets).
Alternatively, if cashflow permits, are you able to purchase from elsewhere on 24hr delivery or go to a hgihstreet store to replace the items until Amazon get round to refunding you?0 -
OMG! That's awful. The delivery guy waited all of about 3 seconds before hurling £1000 of electronic goods over a high fence. I'd be contacting the courier company and sending them the video, and I'd also go to the paper with it!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
How do we know it is what it seems, there was NO delivery company on the high vis and most of them have it on.
Plus Amazon are known for not putting all expensive items into one parcel, they are usually fulfiled from different depots.
I smell a rat
Sorry!0 -
The bag doesn't look like it has all the goods stated in it, each item stated would be in a decent size box but the bag looks like it only has a couple of things in it.
I too am a bit sceptical on this one, just doesnt ring true.0 -

I was told by Amazon that the stock they have is only to fulfill new orders, not to be issued as replacements for damaged or non-working goods.
I've been waiting for them to give me the details to arrange the collection via courier, I've told them I don't mind printing the labels, ringing them to arrange it and waiting in for the collection. But all I want is a refund so I can re-purchase the kids presents before Christmas or some replacements!
Who was the delivery with?
I am pretty shocked, if this is as it seems. It doesn't seem to make sense, though...Hopefully Amazon are investigating.0 -
A very strange situation.0

From the video you can see the van behind the courier - the courier has either dropped it in a puddle when getting it out of the van or the courier has been given the package in that state to deliver.
I *think* its a city link driver, but it will been down to the OP to confirm who the package was dispatched with.
The replacement of goods this close to Christmas is understandable - I would advise, if you can to return the goods you have bought at Amazon's expense (use the option did not arrive on estimated delivery date and it should be a free return).
I would then buy the goods again if you can - if you aren't a Prime customer then sign up for Amazon prime trial and get it delivered free next day - just remember to cancel your trial before the end of the 30 days otherwise you will get charged for the full year.
Its a rogue courier, its not Amazon who have caused the issue - but it is up to amazon to resolve the issue thats been caused.0 -
if the op was having £100's worth of goods delivered by a tracked courier,
to their work place, and these goods would 'ruin' christmas if they weren't
received then you would think they would wait the hour or 2 after they closed
shop until it was delivered.
There's no way on earth that that tiny bag holds all the stuff the op has stated,
you know what amazon are like for packaging, especially with more expensive
items.. theres also no way all these items would turn up at exacally the same time,
or even with the same courier, I know when I bought a few expensive items a while
back they all turned up by separate couriers.. just saying..0 -
digital camera, lenses, iPod touch, DVD's, batteries and other items
Here is a delivery I had from Amazon at 6pm tonight, a huge box and tons of packing all for an 8" x 8" calendar!0
