Good Morning Everyone! Been a bit busy so not been on here properly for a few days, and not caught up on news yet. JackieO, hope your DD has a great day today! Bramble, sounds as if you've "been in the wars" as my dear Mum used to say - hope you feel better soon. Beth - glad you're posting again, and hope things go well for you. Went out for Chinese with a group of us after the carol service yesterday, so didn't get in until midnight - late for us oldies! DGD and her Mum had DS and us round for pre-Christmas lunch on Saturday which was really lovely. DS enjoyed it too which was a real bonus. DGD and Mum are just about landing in Germany right now for Christmas and New Year. We'll really miss them!
This week will be hectic as Dh organising Rotary Christmas collections, which mean we both get to spend hours freezing outside the local supermarkets. Ah well, all in a very good cause.
Just a couple of presents to get this week, plus food shopping. All cards etc posted at last. We never seem to get our tree up until a couple of days before Christmas - but then we do always leave it up until twelfth night whereas I know loads who take them down immediately after the festivities, so all evens out I suppose!
Need to get a load of washing on I think. DH recently fitted better lagging around the hot water tank - my airing cupboard is no longer as warm as it was so I can't use it for drying off the damp clothes any more.
Anyhow, enough of my blethering - hope you all have a good day.
    Resolution:
    Think twice before spending anything!

Bramble glad you have a nice day resting at home
    Happy Birthday to JackieO's DD

Well still no job news, it's two weeks today since I went for the interview. When I rang last wk HR said the panel hadn't informed them of their decision yet so maybe this wk:cool:
DH and DS2 have gone to work, still have a layer of snow on the ground and very cold and icy.
DS3 is still in bed so shall have my brekki in peace before he descends. Had a great healthy eating day yesterday so will aim for the same today.
Will stay in as I am waiting for a Christmas parcel and then that will be all the presents finished.
Will go out Thursday for fresh stuff for Christmas day but otherwise am planning nsd this wk. DH is working until Friday and then will have the wkend off but if anything comes in for next wk he will work as we need the money.
So going to do 20 mins on the wii this morning and went out for a walk last night. We wrapped up but it was lovely and fresh and frosty. Really enjoyed it. It can get so stuffy with the central heating.
Tea tonight will be hm burgers with SW wedges and beans.

    Have a good day all J x

Jaxx - not tried arnica cream, will see if i can get someone to pick some up for me - can it be put on open wounds? Thats what my lip is at the moment.

Julie - I hope you get good news about the job, I had to wait about 2 weeks to find out about my current job - it involved a little chasing from me, but there was lots of red tape they had to go through before they could offer me the position.

I managed to eat some toast!! Teeny tiny bits but glad i have some food in me :)

    Hi all.

Well, I've read the thread, but not a lot has stuck - these new anti-d's seem to be making me even more muddle-headed than usual; I hope to goodness it subsides as I get used to taking them!
It's surprising how difficult it can be to eat five a day even as a veggie / fish person.
I agree! I don't eat meat or fish, but I still struggle with 5-a-day; if I ate that much F&V I wouldn't have room for any protein or carb food!

Beth good to "see" you - sending posi-vibes, I think you're right to put it all out of your head over the holiday period if you possibly can.:o

Bramble healing vibes for you, mate. I'm put in mind of when I broke my dental plate and had to leave it with the technician for repair - Mr LW, twerp that he is, decided we'd go to the pub while we waited for it to be done:eek: (it only took 40 mins) Cue me dashing into the RSPCA shop and purchasing a brown and gold striped shawl/scarf thingy for £3 so that I could wrap it round, sort of like a burka!:D Luckily it's something I'd use anyway, so that now lives in the car, for emergencies - or when I need/want a scarf or extra shawl.:o

It's a year today since Mr LW's DSis1 passed away; he hasn't mentioned this fact directly, but he was talking about Ro a lot this morning before he went to work.

Sid's been for walkies (met Troy and Drummer - canine chums) and had some brekkie, and is now in his favourite place - on the sofa.:D

I have the BM on the go, making tomato loaf. I haven't done one for a while, so I thought it'd be a nice change.:o

I think that's about it... Ooh, no it isn't; Hoppy Birdday to JackieO's DD.:bdaycake:

Thanks Jaxx and BB. Will try and get my sister to pick me some up. She's gone to town in search of the most exciting straw she can find for me:rotfl:

Walked pup with her and have managed to eat some lunch. getting the hang of eating little peices, just not a fan of dribbling so much!

Arnica tabs do seem to help with bruising or swelling, so hope you can get hold of some Bramble. Have spent quarter of an hour wielding the hoover around ( never easy as both (long-haired) collies moult daily!) but once again the carpets look good - for a few hours. My long departed FIL used to say that his dog only moulted once a year - from January 1st to December 31st! I used to get tired of hearing the joke - but have to agree with him now.
Mr T's was heaving earlier, but I resisted laying in siege supplies today at any rate.
