Just wanted to say to LW your DH will probably appreciate you having remembered the date.

My Nan died on Christmas day & on the following Christmas I was feeling pretty low, but didn't want a fuss as our kids were still young, but on the other hand I didn't want it to be forgotten. My DH didn't mention it, but when my MIL came round, she said, very quietly & just to me, that she hadn't forgotten what happened the year before. It was just the right thing to say.

DS2 and I spent a very enjoyable two hours this morning meeting Father Christmas, walking around the gardens completing a quiz and watching the reindeer feeding. If anyone is in South Yorkshire and would like to know where we went, please pm me. I can recommend it!

Before we went I managed to:
    be out by [STRIKE]10.30 [/STRIKE] 10.35
[STRIKE]check e-mails to find booking number for this morning[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]update budget after shopping spree yesterday[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]get dressed [/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]DS2's breakfast[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]get DS2 ready[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]go into our little towncentre for bread and some cash for niece's present[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]get niece's card and present ready for DS1 to deliver[/STRIKE]

I just spread chocolate on the florentines I made last night and made a cuppa. Going to catch up with fred before attacking this afternoons list (otherwise I'll drop to sleep!):
HHC in DS2's room helping him sort and tidy
    plan tea
several HHCs in front room - I WILL get it done today

Catch-up with fred complete, now for another cuppa to take upstairs to DS2's RoD. DS1 has gone into town to 'follow a lead' for a job (no idea what, but I hope he'll get something) and drop cards/present off at BIL's.

    Anyone for a HHC, 3-3.30?

HHC and a bit done - more flinging! :j DS2 is really good at not clinging to stuff. :T A short break before sorting stuff in the LR before OH comes home and wants the sofa/TV.
  • Good afternoon :D

I am working today. 3 out of 4 children have gone home, and the other one is lying on the sofa chilling with a bottle of milk :) DD2 & DS help me keep them occupied :T

I have walked the dog before I started work :D I am glad I did as it is raining now. I have put on the DW, done some washing up & cleaned up the large puddle of wee that one of the boys left next to the toilet  Accidents happen, but I wish they would tell me instead of letting me find it after they have gone!! I had to pick up all the toys and vac downstairs after they left as there was about an inch think layer of crumbs!! I only hoovered last night

I may go and make myself another cuppa, and give the kitchen a wipe in a mo. What i would really like to do, is have a little snooze :o

Put me down for the challenges, please! I am working up til 5.30 on Friday, and then I want to put a lot of toys away in the summerhouse as I am not working then until after the New Year! :j:j

LW - for what it's worth I'd mention it too. A gentle comment can initially cause tears and sadness but often, even if it's a while later, can lead to memories and smiles. Hugs to you both xx

15 minutes wiping anything that is grubby
    Clean hob
    After school run

Having a brief rest. Living room now reclaimed. Family room and kitchen both still in need of dire attention, kitchen less so so will be next.

Really rainy and horrid here, hope it is brighter for the rest of the week.

    Hi all,

I'm going to be in a bit this week.

    Thanks JulieJ for the lists.

My landlord has decided he wants to do an inspection before Christmas. I can't think of a worse time to be honest. Luckily i did a massive clean on the weekend so once i've cleaned the bathroom and Ds1's cleaned his [STRIKE]pit[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]hovel[/STRIKE] bedroom i'll just need to keep on top of it.

    Today's list

    Rabbits to bed
    Cook tea
Take dry washing off airers & put away (i cleared my ironing basket yesterday & put it all away, it's a novelty to have clothes in the wardrobes :o)
    Put more on airer
    Wm x loads
    Recycling
    Clear drainer
    Wash up
    S&S Kitchen & table
    Tidy living room
    S&S Bathroom

I'm going to do a HHC NOW if anyone wants to join me?
