Wandering in to say 'hello'. It's been a while since I was last in - probably March time, I guess - but I've given up the part-time job and now have more time to make my house look more, well, tidy!

Have been fluttering for a week or two, but want to get more structure back into it - can't guarantee I'll post every day, or whether I'll manage to follow the lists, but I'm giving it my best shot!

    Hope everyone is well?
    Take care

    Evening all

Hello returners, lovely to see you all 'home' for Christmas :santa2:

Still trying to reclaim the house, doing well but needs another day.

Feeling really really premenstrual so that'll be an unwelcome visitor due for Christmas lunch:rotfl:

Just having a little break then I may hoover DS2's room which is now all shipshape if I can muster the energy.

  • I have had dinner, cleared & wiped work surfaces in the kitchen, DW is on a clean cycle, cleaned all the dust & cobwebs from the utility room windowsill and done HHI.

Watching TV & relaxing now, conserving energy for tomorrow. I am taking 5 children to the local childminding association Christmas party tomorrow, so it will be full on.

Lovely to see so many familiar names. This thread really feels a bit like home, but also makes me think about absent friends.

I know what you mean, tooch! Most people walking in (if I let them :o) wouldn't see much of a difference. Instead of looking back and seeing how far I've come I can only see the mountain I've still got to climb. I can't follow any lists until I've decluttered and bottomed the place properly, so that's what I'm trying to do a bit at a time.

I could stress over it and try to do it all, but the next term is going to be an absolute killer (another visit from our 'friends' which could make all the difference to the school) and I've got to pace myself.

Anyway, enough whinging. The TV stand is dusted, the TV wiped and the Wii back in it's place. Just waiting for DS1 to wire it up again and I may have a sneaky go on guitar hero. :D The floor is also fairly clear and I'll carry on when DS2 is in bed. Tea has been cooked, eaten and fairly much cleared away. Just a few things in the sink to wash and the DW to empty when it's done.

Tomorrow's list is going to be substantial and requires me to be up early, ideally before anyone else needs to even think about getting up. I want to go to the post office while there is someone in to look after DS2. I'll try!

Thats my running about done for today. Wrapping paper got while i was in town tonight and about half my special christmas cards, i'll get the rest tomorrow. Another pressie arrived too so it's been hide away. Washing is all caught up for now but i'm sure there will be more when the boys room is decluttered and cleaned on wednesday.

OH has just been to his first ever NA meeting, he seems to have come away feeling abit more positive as he's been feeling low and craving for a few weeks now. He's also got an appointment with the addition unit tomorrow and they may keep him there until friday so he'll need to get a bag packed just incase. Fingers crossed that this works for him as he knows where i stand, one last chance.

Right i best chase Rhys to bed again and head to bed myself.
    Night all xx
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Just popping in to say hello! :santa2:

I've been ambling along getting ready for Christmas and apart from some dreams my heads been ok to but then I got a text from the exboyfriendish?? (not sure what else to call him) asking how I am etc and being all nice. Of course I haven't heard from him since I "lent" him some money about a fortnight / three weeks ago and haven't seen him since October half term. So where I thought he wasn't interested anymore now I'm all confused :o

I haven't done much today, I've been to the council offices re housing benefit and took my friend shopping to Mr M's.
I've come down with a sore throat and feel really carp. I've sucked the lozenges, drunk hot drinks but I can't soothe it.

The car has to go for a service and a new cambelt tomorrow and I have to go to my parents to phone some company for my mum as half her order was missing from the bag!
I still have a few presents to get and wrapping to do plus I have to take my mum shopping for her to get her last few bits but that will have to wait 'til Wednesday as I won't get the car back 'til 5

Monday - kitchen and dining room
    Level one
    mop the floors
    Clear work surfaces
    Level Two
    Wipe the work surfaces
    Clear and clean window sills
15 minutes wiping anything that is grubby
    Level three

Make sure you have everything bought/ordered/list made for the weekend.
