I've emptied the car and walked the dog but that's about it. I need to get the dinner on and unpack my stuff as a start.

Anyone fancy joining me for a HHC 12.30 - 1?

Clear and sweep/mop/hoover the floors Done by Mr LW;:A area where Sidney's bowl sits needs to be done again with dustpan and brush after every meal!! (He's a very messy eater).:D
    Clear work surfaces and table
    Done
    Level Two
    Wipe the work surfaces Done
    Clear and clean window sills
    Done
15 minutes wiping anything that is grubby
Binbag dance done, plus a general trawl of whole bungalow for anything for binning or recycling, as it's bin day tomorrow.;)
    Level three
Clean cooker and/or hob Done already (ie after last use, yesterday);)
Sort pets out - clean out/wash bedding, etc. - no pongy pets over Christmas please.
All Sidney's requirements dealt with as appropriate, paws wiped after each walk, fur brushed etc. That's the nearest I can do for this task, really.:oHe arrived with a nice clean bed, and he's not a mucky pup.:D
Make sure you have everything bought/ordered/list made for the weekend.
Done – Mr LW has been to Morriebums in his lunch break today.:A

Hi all; I'm only going to be fluttering this week and next week, while Sidney's here. I'm exhausted, and the new anti-d's seem to be knocking me sideways  (hopefully this will improve as I get used to them), and Mr LW reckons we can get by with just s&s-ing and doing the bare minimum for these 2 weeks.:o He'll be on leave Thursday and wfh Friday this week in any case, so Flying will be impossible; and of course he doesn't go back to work then til Wednesday 28th (when he'll be on Late shift).

That said, I've actually managed to complete today's list, already!:D

Short Bird OMG  you're having a right time of it! Loads of coping vibes for you.
    Flacos and Karen Welcome!
I won't join the Ironing and Xmas Eve challenges if you don't mind;:o Mr LW does our ironing (what little there is – we only iron what's essential to iron iyswim) – I'm actually banned from attempting any since I made my shoulder worse doing it the week before last;:( I have to wait til the shoulder's better before I attempt any more.*mumbles something incoherent about being nannied * And of course, we'll have had our celebration by the time most of you are sitting down to your turkey dinners.:D

Mr LW hasn't mentioned the fact that it's exactly one year since his DSis1 passed away; but he was talking about Ro a lot this morning, while he was getting ready for work. I'm unsure whether to ask if he wants to light a candle this evening, or wait and see if he says anything.:( I'm so useless with emotional issues, I have absolutely no idea what's the right thing to do.:(

Well, it's getting towards time for Sid's lunchtime perambulation, so I'd better go and find my coat and boots.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

this is not a competition - there is no prize except feeling good that you are starting a new year with an empty basket - try to encourage each other - we all want to succeed :D
dont wait until the week (or day) before to get started:eek: - try to do a little bit as often as you can.

I don't iron so that one is easy :D, and I plan to have everything apart from the final shopping run done by Friday lunchtime!

    Not getting very far

DS3 caught his finger in the front door and it is very sore.

LW mention it, he will be grateful I'm sure

A few phone calls to make, landing is now clear, living room next on my list.
The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair
  • I am so chilly - well chilly was not quite a strong enough word to describe 90 minutes in an unheated building whilst service guy worked his magic! However its done, and safe for now, so we've come home to warm up a bit before doing some more.

But the list is getting shorter..:j

    Write a few more cards
    Play postie for local cards
    Wrap DS's gifts for others
Hover by door to intercept DS's present (fingers crossed)
    Finish decorating lounge
    More paper filing
Ebay photo / and put the big box in a shed (I keep falling over it)
Fill a CS bag and drop off
    Bank x 2 - pay in cheques
Supermarket (may leave until OH home tonight and go in relative peace)

    Moam
Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.
