  • Ironing all away, and we now have a morning to fill whilst awaiting the plumber (not for us, but I am a key holder so need to meet him there) to text/call with an ETA. So nothing I can't leave is in order

    Breakfast
    More washing
    Write a few more cards
    Play postie for local cards
    Wrap DS's gifts for others
Hover by door to intercept DS's present (fingers crossed)
    Finish decorating lounge
Pick some holly when we nip to church later
    More paper filing
Ebay photo / and put the big box in a shed (I keep falling over it)
Fill a CS bag and drop off
    Bank x 2 - pay in cheques
    Online banking - check balances
Supermarket (may leave until OH home tonight and go in relative peace)
Play with DS - we're using a timer to be fair about jobs v play/fun stuff

OK - first thing on the list, I'm starving.....

    Moam

Ironing & Christmas Eve challenges please
Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Snowball says too far away, working hard to bring it forward.

Make sure the last of the presents are wrapped!
Phone someone you 'forgot' to post a card/present to in time.. just so they know you've not forgotten them!
Have you posted everything - last day for First Class mail is Tuesday!

DS's trousers are dry enough to iron now - so off I go towards the challenge:T

    Morning all

Thank you for the thread, Jue (I forgot my manners yesterday - sorry!).

shortbird - that sounds grim. Sending coping vibes.

greenbee - thank for the advice. They turned out really well, but I've yet to add the chocolate, so that will be done later.

Can I join the Christmas Eve challenge, too, please? If I aim for lunch I may be done by teatime, as opposed to 2am!

I meant to be up early, but that didn't happen. However, it meant that OH made me a cuppa before he went to work and I had tea in bed. :D
Got up at 8.30 and put WM/TD on again, fed the cat and quickly tidied the worktops.

DS2 and I have to be out by 10.30 (meeting a very important man with a red suit and a white beard in a very lovely place) and before then I need to:
check e-mails to find booking number for this morning (forgot to print at work :o)
update budget after shopping spree yesterday
    get dressed
    DS2's breakfast
    get DS2 ready
go into our little towncentre for bread and some cash for niece's present
get niece's card and present ready for DS1 to deliver

Have a good day, everyone. x

Can I also take this opportunity to wish all my lovely flylady friends a very happy and peaceful christmas and best wishes for the New Year.

As the regulars know, I don't send cards on here but make a donation for a light on our local hospice christmas tree to think of all the regular posters, the not so regular posters and the lurkers too. This year i've got an extra light in memory of absent friends, their friends and their families.

    xxxx
  • Just removed 12 items from The Leaning Tower of Ironingincluding DS1's karate gee which will be back on there tomorrow or Wednesday:(

Now time to try to drag him from his pit:rotfl:
  • Hi,
Can I please join the flying this week and also the New Years ironing challenge! Hopefully it will be the kick up the bum I need to get rid of these mountains of clothes!!!! :-)
  • Morning all

    Welcome newbies and hello lurkers.

Short-bird - hope it gets sorted very soon
Mudbath - a lovely gesture about the light at the hospice

Thanks for the thread Jue. I am away thursday and friday (going to the big smoke to meet two of my dearest friends). Can you please include me for both challenges. Thanks

    Extras for me this week:

Tonight - write remaining 2 cards and post, marzipan 2 remaining cakes
Make final christmas cake (step-dad doesn't like alcohol)
    Ice christmas cakes
Deliver presents to mum's and dad's so I don't have to cart them about on christmas day

That should keep me out of trouble x
