    Hi all.
Hope you have had a good day?
I havent been all that bad food wise. I havent even opened the tin of quality street yet! Cant say the same for the bottle of malibu though!
  • Hello all and Merry Christmas!!

I'd like to join too if that's ok?! I don't have too much to lose - about 8-10 pounds by May so I'm going to aim for 2-3 pounds a month and see how I go with that. I'm hoping joining this thread will keep me motivated - I have gym membership and often have good intentions but finding the time can be tricky (I'm an expert excuse maker too).

Going to use a combo of increased gym visits, Davina fitness DVD and healthy eating. Today has been a very naughty day, hence me reading this as I'm definitely having a "fat day"... then again, I think most people have a fat day on Christmas day!! Really hoping I manage to lose this extra weight, got a big holiday planned for May and so want to feel good about myself in swimwear!

Good luck to everyone else and well done for all the progress that has been made so far! :T
  • Morning all! Hope yesterday was a fabulous day for all! :) Definitely didn't make any impact on my goals yday but hey Christmas day! Today however.. unlike most boxing Days I will actually make a start on my targets. I am drawing up my excel spreadsheet so I can monitor my loss and having a very light day on the food (I actually MISS feeling hungry!) Does anyone else get there? Where you've had a heavy food session. I'm going to see a lovely friend I haven't seen for a while so will walk the few miles to there and back and depending on how I feel when I get back I might do some excercise bike and weights. Gym closed today sadly and back to work tomorrow so for once in my life I will walk the couple of miles there and back and keep my packed lunch on the lighter side.
Good luck to all :) Let us know how you're making headway on your targets today.
    Much love xxx

hi, can I join you? I'm at the highest I've ever been at 12 stone 12lbs .....more worrying I've worked my bmi out as 32.79 which is at the top end of obese (and yet I'm still a size 10 in my head:))

I've 4 stone to lose....52lbs by end of August so 7lbs ish a month, maybe a bit too ambitious. I'd like to join the online slimming world but can't afford it at the moment, so would love to get recipe ideas and support from here to get me through.

    Can I join too please???

I'm at my highest ever weight 13st 3lbs :( and am determined to make some positive changes in my life for 2012.

I've done Slimming World before but cannot afford to join any diet classes right now, so my partner and I will be doing SW together and hopefully I'll get moral support from some of you lovely people. :j

Ideally a 2lb a week weight loss would be brilliant and ideally I'd like to lose 3st 7lbs.

Ready to get started and see a new healthier, fitter me :j

    Good morning everyone!
Welcome to the new people, welcome to the thread.
Dolly- are you jumping on the wagon today? I think i remember you saying you were starting as from the 27th? Good luck, i am joining you i think.
Its so hard with chocolate everywhere in the house at the moment! I still havent opened the tin of quality street and i popured the rest of the alcohol down the sink so that i dont drink it (there was only a quarter of a bottle of malibu left anyway). Its not very money savvy, i admit, but it was dont in a moment of madness!

I have made my meal plan for the week, but i need to go and buy some fruit as i have run out.
  • :rotfl:Hi everyone, I know I said I would start Jan 1st but I dont see the point in hanging around any longer so today is the day I start to eat more healthy.:j~The only thing is I cant get to wellies to get weighed until Thursday so I wont know the full extent of the last few years damage:(

I have been looking everywhere for my SW books and cant find them anywhere sooooo I will try to remember what I can and the proof will be in the weighing. Today I have had porridge for breakfast, I will have HM tom soup for lunch and for dinner its something out of the freezer that I cant tell what it is yet, but it wont be too bad as I tend to make things from scratch so I will have rice, pasta or pots with it when I find out what it is.

Im going to take leftover chocs etc into work on Thursday to get rid of them, I havent really all that much cos I spent Xmas at DD3's house so I left loads of goodies up there with her and shes a skinny mini:rotfl:

I think my biggest bugbear will be snacking, everytime I go into the kitchen I pick at something, it doesnt even work if I dont buy anything, Ill just get a bowl of cereal or something, so I will have to try to find my willpower (I think it got up and went years ago!)
infact if I was to post on here everytime I probably would be on here all day so even that wouldnt work as Id get nothing done, anyway less of the rambling and off for a walk!!!!! well after I have had a lurk around

    Hi nannygladys.
I totally understand what you mean about the snacking, i am the same at the moment! I need to stock up on fruit come pay day (Fri) so that if i DO snack, its on healthy stuff instead of the chocolate or pringles.

Didnt have breakfast this morning- shame on me! I normally do, but we had no bread for toast, and i dont really like cereal all that much. But went to tesco earlier, and am now having turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce sandwiches for lunch...its sooo yummy!!
For dinner is the leftover turkey and carrot curry i made yesterday, with rice.
I am getting a tad sick of turkey now!
