Competitions Discussion Thread Part 16

Hi, thanks for taking time to reply. I did think of twilight New Moon but it's not a new moon. It's just a slightly offshape moon (like a waxing moon), its not night time but is placed in the blue sky of day. The only thing I can come up with is the recent film Moon. If it was anything else it would have something extra on it surely as a clue. Have thought of Man On The Moon, Moonstruck, Bruce Almighty, but still keep coming back to its just a moon!0

Sue, the competition you linked to was the Christmas Quiz to name TV programmes from the clues, not films. November is talking about a current competition in the Radio Times to name films.
November if you can start a thread for the Films Quiz you will get a lot more help, rather than having it tucked away in Discussions. Is there an online entry or is it postal entry? I don't get the RT so haven't got a clue.
ETA: don't know if this has been mentioned, but the moon could be Apollo 13 which won a few oscars.

This thread is being sent all over the place, it was mentioned in the general competitions thread and people said to move it to Postal Comps as it's just a postal comp then in there people said to move it to discussions as the answers are being 'discussed', now you are saying to move it somewhere else!!
I have been tracing this comp all over this forum and it is beginning to get a bit silly. Can someone please decide where it should be posted so people, like me, aren't going everywhere to find it?0 -

Hi, it should realy be in here until all the answers are given
it was moved to postals because it's a postal comp, but, we haven't got all the answers, so realy it should have stayed in this thread as it's a comps discussion to get all the answers,
i'll get my post from the postals & put it in here then we can all get trying to sort the answers out if that's ok with all xxplease be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -

I have identified 40 clues in the picture quiz:
I need help to clarify (indicated by ????) on four of them.
If any of my answers are wrong, your input would be most welcome:

I was thinking Da Vinci Code too but some of there clues are 'cryptic' and others are from the film. So from the film advertisements I would have said Da Vinci code - but Mona Lisa would be the more obvious answer. Also with the moon one - what about 'New Moon'?

Hi Wendy - would you be able to pop the answers on this board for us all? Many of us (me included) only enter a few competitions and postal is my only method of entry.
Many thanks:):)
