Competitions Discussion Thread Part 16

Greetings compers! I'm a newbie and if I'm being realistic, I can only spend about 5 hours a week entering comps which probably equates to about 100 - 120 comps per week. Is this enough of a time investment to see some sort of return? When I originally read the guide, it mentioned people entering 100 comps per day, and I can't come anywhere near that. Do compers with only a reletively small time committment see enough returns to reward them for their time?? Has anyone ever calculated a comps entered to comps won ratio?? What are peoples thoughts??
many thanks

Always worth a go,magicspice
When I started entering comps in 2008 I had not heard of MSE comp or Roboform.I only entered about 40 comps per week as I was googling for answers & typing my details in.
I still managed to win a holiday to NY though :-)0 -
Another Twitter question (sorry Heartbreaker I can't help but would like to know the answer to your q as well)! Mine is because I am not techy at all and do not really get twitter, but I would like to enter a comp where you have to retweet (can just about manage) and use a hash tag blah that they specify. I don't have a hash tag on my laptop and I feel pretty stupid but prize is near the top of my wish list! Any helpers??0

For a hashtag will this work:
# = Alt + 30 -
Or you could copy and paste the phrase they have used.0

I'm not very good with facebook, so cannot advise, but there are two ways you would hear about a win on twitter. One is to check your @mentions. The other is to check your direct messages.0 -
