But isn't that a bit like your previous suggestion that was a non starter?

If we want to try out the hastag idea, we just need a few more people who think it is a good idea and we can trial it.

Yeah, I agree we need to move this off MSE. :D

    You can count me in.

I'm one of those who work from earliest posting and more often than not miss out on the ones that have a 12noon, 1pm, 3pm etc finishing time.

Just like the ipad from the Times yesterday when it kept getting bumped I totally missed that one too.

Thanks CraSiEla - now we just need to agree on a hastag and see if we can get more people on board.

    How about #MSEAlert ??

Thanks - do you mean a forum outside of MSE? If so, I'm not really sure - that would mean another place for people to have to go. I'll see what others say. The hashtag idea would not be to stop people posting on here, but merely for those that are so quick it is not worth posting.

I think I would prefer to keep the Twitter comps on here, but there's quite often ones that are too quick to be worthwhile posting- e.g. @handbagcom opened a "pub quiz" at 8:00 tonight. It closes at 9:00 tonight and over the course of the hour they've dripped out 7 questions to answer. That sort of comp is great for people in Twitter over that hour, but not (IMO) a comp to post here - too short an opening window. With a hashtag we could alert those of us interested to the quick comps.
    Hmmmm, need new siggie

Now I wish we had implemented the hashtag idea earlier - I missed out on the handbag one. This is just the sort of thing I am getting at.

Hi everyone, I need some advice re roboform, I've been using a free version of this for around 3 years, since I started comping, I recently got a new laptop and downloaded robo again but now each time I go to fill a form a pop up comes up telling me I've finished my trial period and need to upgrade to the paid version, I'm quite happy with the free one and never had this problem before so I'm presuming its because I have a newer version, does anyone know a way to stop the pop up (its so annoying) and just carry on or will I have to upgrade, thanks for any help:)
Thank you for this site Martin

Hi, just wondering if anyone can help! Usually when I do the GMTV/Real Deal comps etc I just have to press the back arrow to re enter the competition rather than having to repeatedly enter my details. Had problems with my computer and had to uninstall then reinstall firefox and now have version 10.0. But now when I press the back button it says firefox won't allow it due to sensitive details so I have to fill it in again! It's a real pain after having been able to do it so easily- does anybody have any suggestions?! thanks

Have you tried scolling down a few lines on the confrmation page, right clicking and selecting 'refresh'?

That's weird, if I do that it comes back all filled in except for the Captcha.
