  • Another busy day, took Ds to football and then went to Farmfoods,
Spent £28.45 after handing over a voucher for £2.50 0ff a £25 spend, lots of branded items much cheaper that Mr s and Mr T, bought a few items to try, if we don't like them then we will know but at least we have tried them.

Postie brought me full sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner to test for a survey company, pleased as I was only thinking this morning that I would need to add them onto next week shopping list so a few more pounds saved.

Also noticed there is a cash for clothes place near farmfoods that i had never noticed before, so will start bagging up any old clothes from now on instead of putting them in the recycling bin (ones that are not ebayable) once i have a big bag full i will take them in, they pay £1 a kilo, not a huge amount but if i'm shopping at farmfoods its not as though i'm going out of myway and every penny counts.

Been to visit family this afternoon and had lunch there, just soup and sandwiches but its one less mealtime to think about and greatly apprieciated.

Hope everyone else is having a nice weekend, take care.
  • Hi Penny :-)

For the first time a few weeks ago, we used A similar facility and netted £12. This was pre-EBay lightbulb though, but as you say, every penny counts x. Hope you make a fair amount and double the bonus if you don't need to go out of your way.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend x

    Hi Pennywise

I should try Farmfoods again, I tried it about 2 years ago and didn't like a quiche that I bought so that put me off, I will have to go and give it another try.

Great news about the cash for clothes place.

Have a good day today xxx
  • Hi mummy, we seemed toget quite a lot for our money.

Hi choo, think its going to be a hit and miss kind of place, but we are willing to try lots of things its the only way to find out, we had there battered cod tonight and it was really nice.

So today has been a quiet day pottering and catching up on housework, also been a NSD.

Been given some sausage and a joint of pork from some friends of OH that breed pigs, so thats a couple of meals sorted and a few more quid saved.

No other news, all very quiet in the PWPS household, hope everyone reading is well.
  • Well its the last day of the holidays for us today, so need to make sure we have everything for school and work tomorrow.

Washing Machine is playing up again and won't drain and spin properly, filters have been emptied and hubby has had a fiddle with it but it still wouldn't work properly, have switched it off for now and wil have another play later, really cannot afford a new washer at the minute, we have no money:(.

Sort ebay pile, take photos, list 99p items
Have a look a washer again.
    Clean out Guinea pig
    Sweep/mop downstairs.

    Better get started.

6 out of 9 surveys recieved completed, screened out of 3 and have withdrawn £3 from mysurv£y.

Bad news, hubby has had another look at the washer and can't do anything, its died and gone to washer heaven, so I've ordered a new one and its had to go on the CC, well £100 of it, it was £180 in the sale, OH is giving me £80 towards it. Trying not to get upset about it, will just need to cut back even more.

Been outside and looked at how much oil we have and the answer is not alot, so i've turned off the CH and set the timer to heat the hot waterfor an hour once a day, which we only need for washng up, we will all have showers as that heats on demand with electric, we have the Wood burner lit and the house feels warm enough and we are back to school/work tomorrow so no need for the heating on in the day.
