Debt Diaries!

Personally I think we should have a sub board. I agree wholly with kath, theres SOOOOOOOOOO many diaries, and I havent got anywhere near to reading even starting on some of them, and I just dont think I ever will.
Mine died a death a long time ago, life gets in the way doesnt it!
I do think they are valuble, but I do agree theres a lot of them, and I think peoples one off questions and SOAs get lost - its not unusal to see peoples SOAs or "first time posts" getting onto page 2 with zero replies and i think that must be so stressful for the posters of those
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
I agree with the sub board bit
Then there are first time posters who can get help before their thread disappears!

I don't want to sound horrible about the diaries though, I think they're a great way of keeping track and keeping up to date with certain people I know best, if you see what I mean.
A sub-board might be good though, cos then it would be easier to choose if you'd prefer to catch-up with some diaries, or post in the other advice threads etc.
Only trouble is how do you define a diary? I mean, if a newbie posts for help... and we give advice... and they keep posting and updating the situation... and there develops a group of people who seek out (subscribe to) the thread and know the situation in depth... at what point does it become a diary rather than an 'advice' thread? What's the difference?!

I agree with the sub-board idea. I've personally never read any of the diaries, cos there's just not enough time in the day! I do intend to have a look one day, but just not foudn the time yet. Think it would be great if they were on a sub board.

I must admit Ive felt a bit concerned when some poor soul has posted about their horrendous debt and theyve only had a couple of replies. I know everyone here does fantastic work with helping people. However, often I feel I am out of my depth and unable to advise. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0

The main page is often full of them and makes the place seem very 'insular.'
I'm all for a sub board.0 -
I've not felt the need to start my own diary, but I love reading other peoples.
I reckon I would still read em, whether they were in a sub board, or here.

Even if you can`t give expert advice, you can let them know that someone has heard their cry for help. This will also help post stay on page one.:T1/11/06 -1/06/07 BSC #42
