Hi, I've been lurking awhile, and like the debt diaries, but perhaps they could be a sub board?
I tend to agree with this .

I meant to include that in the OP!

Now we have a bankruptcy sub board should we have a debt diary one?

Diaries are part of the strength of the community I reckon, cos they're often full of little bits of chat and random stuff (silliness ;)) that help us know each other better and feel supported even though we might not actually be talking about money, if you know what I mean?

I sometimes wish I had a diary because it would be nice to have a place with all my thoughts and things in one place, and to just post something little that doesn't warrant a thread of its own.

But, equally, I sometimes look at all the diaries and feel put off because they are long and I haven't read them from the start. The discussions going on in them at that point might be very interesting/relevant but I just don't get that far.

If, instead of diaries, people posted threads that were specifically about one topic or another, I'd certainly get more involved in discussions, but that's just a sign of my laziness perhaps! ;)

I find myself spending less time on dfw lately, just cos it seems there are not so many people about, or something, maybe I'm wrong about that.

Arrgghhh, I think about this and I go round and round and don't know what I think.... and now I've just subjected you lot to it :o :rotfl:

What I have noticed on the Bankruptcy sub board is that there seem to be fewer posters on . Not sure if that is fact or just my perception.

Definitely a sub board, I keep findingthreads asking for help on page 2/3/4 etc which have no or few replies so if the debt diaries were on their own board, it would be easier to catch new posters before they fall off the bottom

I've never considered bankrupcy so I don't visit the board. But before it was given it's own board, I would read the threads just because they were there. I wonder if everyone else did the same?

The previous discussion was here: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=218130 and it seems Martin prefers them as part of the main board (or did back then): http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=2386968&postcount=20
