Please don't take offence at this, but when I first came here and read a few of your posts I thought you sounded like a right whinger :o

However over time I've read more and more of your posts and understand the situation you are in, and think it's great the way you have managed everything that has happened.

In my case, I kept my initial impression to myself so no harm done. Maybe the OP who 'attacked' you had the same initial impressions as me, and acted on them on impulse. It's all too easy to read a comment and get annoyed and bash out a heated reply, without thinking about what you are typing, and I'm sure we are all guilty of doing that.

    Just my thoughts anyway.

    Take care xx
Here I go again on my own....

As a stay at home mum myself I feel nothing but admiration for you.

I am put to shame by how well others can manage on so little money.

At the moment I seem to be doing nothing but spend money but it is for household equipment and improvements and I have saved a lot from tips on this site. Nothing has had to go on a credit card and we have not run up debts. Please do not let yourself be hounded out as it really would not be the same without you.

Attacked, Offensive, blood boiling?? Good lord what are you on, this is the post that SS seems to find a problems with:

"As I pay my water bills to Severn Trent Water Ltd I am horrified to think that grants would be paid out to people just to enable them to live in a house that they cannot afford the mortgage on?

Get a job of some sort, sell the house and get a smaller one or change the mortgage as has been suggested many times already. Plenty other people reading these forums are single parents with three kids AND actually have to work to pay the mortgage, I do and with no help from extended family either."

Obviously I am not entitled to have an opinion if it differs from SS and opinions she has in plenty from everything to how much someone should spend on food in a week or god forbid have their five year old in a pushchair. "rolls eyes" (very offensive)

Yes I found that remark offensive as I find it extremely offensive that someone should start a thread on a Vent Board or was your point in starting this thread to gain some more followers with no opinions of their own?

    Hi Sarah

Please dont allow anyone to get you down, everyone is entitled to live their lives the way they choose and see fit, unless someone is being harmed or abused in the process then who are we to judge.

I feel youve done a wonderful job, however i dont agree with everything you say, but hey !! who am i, i dont live your life, those are your choices to make not mine.

I care dearly for many people on here but i dont always agree with what they do or say but thats life i guess, it doesnt make them any less of anything in my opinion, they are who they are and i like them for that.

I dont believe that you should have to make excusses or explain your reasons for anything, if you and your family are happy and healthy then thats all that matters.

Keep up the good work, so many people appreciate your advice and help dont let a tiny minority make you angry xxx :) :A
Nobody can make you feel inferior, without your permission ;)

  • Tinytot, Sarah and anybody else looking at this thread.

Isn't getting by on a limited budget hard enough already.

I can understand both points of view, but cannot see any benefit to either of you in this verbal battle, beyond of course venting your frustrations.

However we do not live in a Police state and if this is what you really want to do, then you are free to do so.
Just for one moment, thought I'd found my way.

Crikey this one has moved on a bit,now I know more about how this thread came about,I have to say I'm surprised .................it would of been better to count to 20 then ignore,we have all been (dare i say it) annoyed by a post at some point (even the poster admits to being offended by another post)and I too have over-reacted to more than one in my time here.

Tinytot....everyone is entitled to have their own opinions as everyone is entitled to agree/disagree with them,by the way...welcome to the site.:D

People have been hounded off, im saying no more than that but it is an issue that needs to be looked at.
