Cheap International Text Messaging/SMS

world-text giving server not found right now.
I am trying the O2 free service - not bad but
1. It does not allow recipients to reply directly to their messages back to your mobile like Yahoo used to,
2. UK only.
Anyone know which service allows the sms to appear to come from your own mobile like Yahoo's did?
there's an option for the o2 online sms service to click 'enable reply' which i think makes it a multiple sms, or adds one sms i think.
if you're on o2. i saw this on their site: (not sure if applies to all tariffs - but seems to be on all the online ones)Inclusive texts:
1 UK picture or video message is equivalent to 4 text messages. Picture and video messaging is handset dependent. 1 text message sent from abroad is equivalent to 4 text messages.
4. International text message
Texts sent from the UK to an international number. Subscribers to International Traveller Service and Discount Country will only be charged at 12p per international text.

I was going to use O2 web service more, but basically it does not offer international (not when I last used it). Am not an 02 subscriber.
Anyway 18185 now offers a very cheap service - 1p per text - to anywhere in the world and lets you use your mobile caller ID so my question got answered by this new service.0 -
Have you tried http://www.10ptext.co.uk :money:
You can use this service directly from your mobile phone NOT from a computer. It's great advantage is that you can travel without having to swap sim cards. It is not a re-routing service where you are forced to set up all of your contacts before you can send them any SMS text messages. I have only ever used it in Europe though.
It's a light easy to download program, it doesn't interfere with your normal SMS texting and you keep unused credits for 36 months.
It is better for some users than for others, the savings really start kicking in if you want to send 30 cheap international SMS messages a month.0 -
I have noticed a few web sites offering free text messages. Are these okay? is there normally a catch or something?
I am trying to keep down mobile costs.

http://www.fishtext.com/FREE/ Looks like if you both have the programme downloaded on your phone, the text is free. http://www.fishtext.com/ click "About FishText" and then click "Free to other Members"
This page always comes up after you have send a free text from http://www.cbfsms.com/0
