T cook goa

If you are flying to GOA WITH t cook and you have been told you will have a free bar on board due to the fact that they are useing short haul planes on long haul routes, dont expect more than much in the way of drinks, You will only be given your free drink when the crew bring the trolly around, thats twice in 10 hrs.
On our return flight the same thing happened plus they ran out of tea and coffee as well, if you go to the rear and ask for a drink you will have to pay for it and keep the bill and try and claim it back from your t/a( the best of luck with that). 2hrs from home the only drink you could have was a soft drink or spirits hard luck if you are a driver,So if you like a couple of coffees or teas take a flask, if you rely on T COOK you will die of thirst.

Only soft drinks for a whole 2 hours !!! How on earth can anyone manage on that?

Best to get your fill in Goa then, with spirits at £1.50 a bottle and beer at 42p a pint
I'd have thought the flight back was a good chance to sober up.
  • They did run up and down the aisles offering glasses of water when the coffee and tea ran out,no one asked for a six pack to be plonked on there lap, but at the time of booking and because they used short haul planes for long haul flights 11hrs a great play was made of the fact that there would be a free bar on the plane, whether they plonked it on your lap or you went to the rear to ask for a drink it did not happen.i did think this was a money saving site you no where you save money on your drinks but i must be wrong or i need new glassses for reading the flight details wrong, matbe i should have went to specesavers

Just fly with a good airline... moved away from package deals and it's the best thing i have ever done...

QR fly to GOI (Goa), yes it's more expensive but you pay for what you get..

I think you've taken my comments a tad too literally.

I meant your expectations of what you were going to get were wrong.

Are you saying that if you went to the back of the plane and asked for a free drink you were refused?
If so, what was the reason for refusal?
Did you tell them that your documentation said it was a free bar?

What did Thomas Cook customer service say about it when you complained?
I take it you have complained.....

    cundall:
Qatar (QR) do fly into Goa (Dabolim) but stop in Doha en-route.

Most (if not all) of the package holiday flights are non-stop, taking less than 10 hours outbound.

All the details in my post are as it happened yes we did go to the rear of the plane to ask for a drink, yes we did show the air crew our tickets stateing FREE BAR during the flight , the reason they refused the drinks was because they wold only give free drinks out when they came around with the trolly, twice in 10 hrs if i wanted a drink outside of this i had to pay for it and try and claim it back from my t/a. all of this is in my first post, yes we have complained to T/C/ and i am still waiting for a reply.

The last time I flew Qatar Airways to Goa they were a bit mean with the drinks too. After one they made you feel like an alcy. 3 small beers over a 7 hr flight is hardly wreckless. Overall I really haven't been that impressed for what is supposedly a 5 star airline. Flight arrives in GOA at 3am too. I prefer flying Emirates or BA to Mumbai which arrive daytime and getting a low cost on to Goa.

How did it stay up for 10 hours? That sounds long haul to me. Do they now have inflight refuelling?

You mean they didn't have tea or coffee on your particular 10 hour flight.

It doesn't necessarily mean that all TC flights to Goa don't have tea or coffee.
