Shopping in Liverpool One is good and if you head to the plaza there are plenty of places to eat. The Albert Dock and World Museum also promise a good time. If you have time go on one of the 'duck tours' which cost about £10 per person if i remember correctly and you'll see most of the famous sights in Liverpool - they start at the Albert Dock and I took a visitor friend on this recently and he loved it. There's so much to do, have you any preference? xLBM: 22.12.2010 :j Self-managed DMP start 29.1.2011DMP Mutual Support Thread No: 4130

How about an idea of your age group and interests and maybe people could give suitable advice. Are you booked in a city centre hotel or somewhere on the outskirts?
I'm the wrong side of 30 and we are looking at staying in the previous ex residence of the 5th Beatle. Will definitely be doing the Beatles experience.0 -
George Best ?? Stuart Sutcliff ?? Pete Best?? Billy Preston ?? Eppy ?? Martin ?? theres six 5th beatles. Upstairs in the beatles shop next door to A hard days night hotel is worth a hour or two of any beatles fan . My DD age 14 is Beatles Mad and heads into towns a few times a month . (her good friend lives a very short walk from The Mendips (lennons childhood home)on Menlove Ave.)Enjoy and soak in Matthew Street go during the day first and look closely at the walls and statues , Look up there are lots of things you dont see normally . Being the wrong side of 30 is about right for drinking nightime around Matthew street . Alot of Beatles themed bars and clubs but thats where it ends (Lennons Bar, Rubber Soul,Revolver, etc ) A fair few Beatles exibitions/museams around town and a great new liverpool museam too. Pier Head is a good half hour too. hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0

I think we're all the same in our own cities, ignoring what's in front of us and going for days out elsewhere.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

For eating - maybe try a Sunday roast at Alma de Cuba? They have a gospel choir on. I've yet to do this myself though! If you're going to stalk me, while you're at it can you cut the grass, feed the dog & make sure I've got bread & milk in0
