Bought a box set of saucepans with glass lids in the Debenhams sale last Christmas, Hermes saw fit to launch them over the six foot gate at the side of the house, and then leave a card saying they were "placed next to gate".

Rang Debenhams to complain, Customer Services didn't want to know and said they can't be held responsible for courier delivery issues !!

Similar to THIS, I saw this on the news last night. Looks like a common problem. Do we really live in a world where people are becoming so selfish? How very sad.:(

Awful! I was reading MSE's guide to delivery issue on this site the other day and Debenhams is should be responsible. The guide said your contract is with the retailer not the courier (unless you arrange your own delivery) and they should take responsibility for any issues. I would ring back and demand they compensate you!

Anyway back to S&G .... still none in my local stores. Have resigned myself to not getting one. But am hoping Boots will have a sale on their other gifts set in the New Year.

Well I called boots (who do a ring back service, which i like) and they refunded delivery and said it would be with me today, but my status on the yodel website hasnt changed, so if i wait in all today that is 26 hours i have spent waiting in, when its the week before xmas, i have 2 young children and I work in retail myself, not happy one bit.

EDIT : lovely ladies at boots have confirmed yodel have 'lost' my package. So my friend and I have no xmas present. Thanks a bunch you nasty thief, as I dont doubt that it was stolen, just looking at reviews many parcels get opened, why not pinch this.

Gutted right now as I love s+g stuff :(
I smile because I have no idea what is going on!

I picked mine up yesterday from Boots in Shrewsbury (retail park, not town centre). I had a bit of a scare as the SA took ages to find it, said there were loads of online collection orders out the back. They had had two deliveries of the S&G set, and sold out within two days at that store.
