  • Faith - I'm also walking in to Highland Cathedral. Absolutely love it. My only worry is that it makes me bubble....

If you are looking for a tune to go into the meal, High Road to Gairloch is lovely.
  • My dd got married in august and had a singer for the ceremony;sang 'the first time ever i saw your face' down the aisle, shania twains 'from this moment' as they signed the register and 'we are man and wife' as they walked out
first dance was jason mraz 'i wont give up'-JUST GORGEOUS!!
last dance was 'the girl all the bad boys want!'

Our songs were weird choices in some people's eyes but all had meaning personally to us.

My dad died only a few months before our wedding so I didn't want to walk down the aisle so I just mingled with guests before the service.

Whilst signing the register we had

    1) Otis redding - try a little tenderness
    2) chuck berry - you never can tell
    3) monty python - always look on the bright side of life

To walk out to we had Morecambe and Wise - bring me sunshine, they were my dads favourite comediennes and I felt I had to have the song to bring my dad into the service more. And yes we did the silly dance to it as well!!

I really struggled with this and I searched threads to death for ideas but in the end we went a bit different but used some ideas off people on here. We had string quartet music.

Waiting: Linking Park - Numb, Avril Lavin - Sk8r Boi, Madonna - Papa Dont Preach, MJ -Smooth Criminal, Beatles - Eleanor Rigby, No Doubt - Dont Speak, Cranberries - Zombie, Killers - Mr Brightside.

    Walk Down Aisle: Your song

Signing: Metallica - Nothing Else Matters, Oasis - Wonderwall

Walk out: Queen - Another one bites the dust

yep - way out there some of them but reflected us completely. Some people hated them, others came over to say they were amazing. We loved them, all of them and even though some of them have completely the opposite meaning as they were strings it didnt matter.

Go with your gut instinct and enjoy your day!
Now Mrs! Still mum though.... :D
