    Hello All,

Could I join too please? I was a member last year, but didn't post very often - I'm more of a lurker, enjoying other people's successes!

The £2 pot has bailed us out of a couple of problem over the past year, so it's good to have it available.

    Thanks,

    Sa1

Welcome to the club bridgetkate, sibles and sa1sysoo :hello:. Sibles of course we will have you! You can't get away now you have posted once lol. Sa1sysoo I am glad to see last years pot was helpful to you. Encouragement to us all.

Please read the first post and then just make sure you pop back as often as you can to let us all know how you are doing (lurking is fine too, but a post once in a while is always much appreciated). I have also added you both to the list on post two (well will have in a moment or two anyway :o).

Congrats on getting your first coins 3134Anna. It is entirely up to you how often you post but we would like to hear from you as often as you can as it helps keep everyone motivated, interested and eager to save more. We are all very friendly. You can post even if you haven't found any, we won't mind :D

Hi PMo2 - thats a good idea transferring the money onto a collecting card, that almost means you are saving the same money twice!

Keep up the prowling doodlebug_, I am sure they will pop up just when you aren't expecting them.

Alwaysthebusybee you seem to have had a brilliant start! Please do post on the odd occasion as it keeps the thread more interesting :T you don't need to tell us how many you have found, just say hi!

Fab total for you too if my pennies were pounds :j and yippee on another coin successfully potted DrSqueeze. Also thanks for your assistance on the 'old' thread, and also your opinion on the totals question. I like that idea as it keeps it up to individuals as to whether they count or not which I think is important.

Hope everyone has had a nice day with not too much snow. I had a little here this morning - just the right amount infact, as it was enough to see, but not enough to cause road chaos :rotfl:

EDIT: Hi icontinuetodream - apologies a bit of cross posting there, it takes me a while to write to you all :) You are also doing well! I think I agree that banking last years money has suddenly increased the volume of £2s available!!!

  • another £2 added to the pot today, and started another pot for all my little change, and now save all 20p for my sons tuck money - my wallet feels so empty though!!!

Hope everyone else is finding lots of £2 coins!!!!
  • Could I join please? I really want some savings by the end of 2012 and this seems a good way to do it. I will set a target of £200.

  • Hi Chocolatedrinker! :hello: Of course you are welcome to join. I will add you to the front page now and your target too. Then, basically, collect those coins! I see you have join SPC5 too so good luck with the saving in your house, I am sure you will find it as worthwhile as I do.

    Hi will-be-debt-free. Yeah for finding £2s :j.

I have another £4 potted today - can't remember where they came from, they have been sat in my purse for a couple of days waiting to be clinked into the pot :D
Lovely sunny morning here, though still below freezing. Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend. Only a week to go now folks

I swear Christmas comes round faster every year :D

I took my good lady (heart of gold and patience of a saint) out for dinner (paid for entirely from my £2 savings) and got a £2 coin as part of my change from the pre-dinner drinks. So that's gone straight back into the tin.

1 found yesterday and 1 today. They do seem to be more around my area now. I will update my sig everytime i bank some i think, then i can see my progress. Hoping to bank them and leave them there, hopefully i will not need them to bail me out over next year and i will have a healthy total to pay off the debt or put towards xmas next year.
