Not too sure how you will be doing the totals? do you mean posting how many we have got for the month eg:- £30 saved in jan, £24 in feb etc
    OR
posting totals each month and adding it on each month eg:- £30 in jan, then feb would be £24 +£30 = £54 etc

If that makes any sense to you!!!

    Hi people :D

Hope you enjoy saving with us will-be-debt-free.

Mandz1 and everyone: I had a look at the thread igamogam mentioned and they appear to post everyday with how much money they have paid off a debt, and some kind person takes the responsibility for adding up all these amount to get a monthly total of how much money the whole thread has paid off their debts.

That would be way too much mork for me to do lol :D and pretty pointless here as we are only saving one specific coin and you all know that it is easy to go for a few weeks without getting any at all.

BUT if people are interested in totals we could either do a yearly or six monthly total for example to help encourage everyone along, but it is entirely up to all of you. I really don't want to pressure people into thinking they need to save a certain amount by a certain date, or that they need to keep a running total of what they save unless that is what everyone wants. It would also mean that we are all saving towards the same type of date rather than towards a specific holiday/event etc.

Just trying to point out the pros and cons - I don't want to influence the concensus of opinion either way so PLEASE POST YOUR INDIVIDUAL OPINION if you have one :A

Hope everyone is happy with that:T

Back to money money money.......I have got 3 x rescued from my Dad £2's today. He actually offered them to me without me asking first!!!! He must be realising how much I need them lol :rotfl:

    Happy saving everyone

My aim is that once I have £20 saved this will either go on the budget card or the Tesco card for Christmas next year.

  • Observer, thanks for the new thread, I have added my saver number to my signature :j

I have managed to find 10 £2 coins so far in 16 days :j I am very chuffed with myself however I promised I wasn't going to count them so from this week I won't be posting very often ... other than my total of course!!

I am quite proud of myself that pay day is next week and I just about have enough to get me there without raiding the piggy banks :o

Good Luck for everyone in 2012. I hope I smash my aim of £100 :D

    Hello
I found this idea late in the year this year and ended up with about £34 for a shopping trip.
I'd like to give it a go in 2012 as well if you'll have me?!

  • Welcome aboard to all new savers, and welcome back to those who've done it before :D

Got my first "2012" coins, so that's £4 in the tin.

Good luck and happy hunting to everyone

I wouldn't want to create extra work for you, so perhaps those who want to could make a note in their signatures of their totals on 'milestone' dates. Might be fun to watch how it's building during the year.
