Thank you so very much, we can't thank you enough - we have read the documents you provided links to, phoned ACAS againa nd this time were given the right information - THEY CANNOT SACK HIM!!!!!! they have told us to right a letter appealing, allow the 28 days to respond then take them to a tribunal, if nothing else, it will stop it happening to someone else. ACAS even said we were given the wrong info yesterday!!!!
- Oh I feel so enpowered now. They had rung back and said there was no way he could have his job back at 3.30 so I was feeling down etc but now I'm oh so bl00dy angry - we're gonna get 'em :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
You go get them Weller! It's completely out of order. Fight them all the way.
I have to admit, I was very surprised when you posted what ACAS originally said.... it just didn't make sense. Very glad there's someone on the ball who knows where to find the right info.
My advice is to log everything tonight while it's all still fresh in your minds. Then you'll have an accurate record of what happened, who said what and when they said it.
Good luck!0 -
Thanks Cate
I'm shaking like a leaf now but in a good way but thats a great idea to log everything and every phonecall etc
The lady I spoke to at ACAS asked if I had the name of the person who gave me the advice yesterday as she obviously needed to be put right but sadly I didn't. I've printed the whole document off and when I've calmed down a bit I'm going to type a letter for Andy and hes going to take it in on Monday morning.
Time and time again, I think what a wonderful and amazing site this is and today its just proved its worth for everybody to see (in one way). I'd be lost without the support, caring and friendship on here and now I've got a lump in my throat, silly woman..........................0 -
Go sort 'em out Weller! We know you can do it

I hope your husband gets to keep his job, it's just a shame more people do not know about this new act for families and work life balance. As you can see I am quite shy at posting but am so pleased I did. i hope the info can help others also who may come across your thread.
Take care and i will keep watching to check on how things go and you never know I may be able to help again. xCredit Card 1 - £2900, credit card 2 - £6020 (0%).
