I work(ed) for clarks doing kids fitting, you would be sooooo surprised at the number of parents who didn't know that their child's feet have grown. If samuel didn't say, you aren't to know. It really is't worth worrying about, in the business of life, there are greater fish to fry!!Official DFW Nerd No 2750 -
I have been following this thread since sunday and can only mirror what all these great people have said and say that you are a wonderful mum and wife and that you sound a lovely family. I class myself a good mum but you are a fantastic mum, who has a school fund account, thats being a thoughtful mum, who put`s her childrens needs first, mine would have had to wait until next payday, and I would have got the boots out of the school fund money, only jokeing.
Keep up the good work, Samuel and Molly have a lovely mummy and daddy0 -

I agree with Emzig. You couldnt have known.
Kids dont come with an instruction manual hun, we all learn as we go along.
God knows, I've made some crackin mistakes with mine.
My DS suddenly stopped using his arm when he was little. 2 days later, I thought it was a bit strange he was still being daft and not using his arm so I took him to A and E. He'd only bloody broken it !!!!!!
Last year, he had what I put down to food poisoning, sickness, generally off colour, tummy ache. That turned out to be appendicitis so bad we nearly lost him.
You're a fantastic mum - if you weren't, you wouldnt give a damn if his feet were hurting or not, would you.Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

This happened to my sister when we were little, she fell down the stairs (she used to do it loads) and seemed fine but it wasn't until the next day my parents realised and took her to hospital and she had a broken arm. My other sister and I were very angry cos Katy didn't have to go to Church and we did!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:Official DFW Nerd No 2750 -

Weller, hun, you are an absolutely fab mother and Samuel knows you love him very much! He's trying to be the lovely caring boy he is in the only way he knows, by saying he will go without. I'm sure he has by now got some lovely new shoes and lots of hugs!! Don't beat yourself up dear, you are doing a brilliant job of raising your kids, especially given everything else you are coping with re your family.
Please let us know how you are and what Andy says about it all - he sounds wonderfully supportive.

I'm not very good - thought I was just getting right again only for another blow to hit me - Samuel has now got lovely new shoes that light up when he walks and he also told me he needed a pair of wellies 'cos its going to snow so hes got them too though don't think its going to snow where we are :rotfl: He has gone to bed with them, not wearing them of course, he also asked for his old Pudsey Bear when he went to bed so we dug that out of the loft for him and 5 mins ago he was snoring loudly, clutching Pudsey Bear and had a wellie stuck under his head. Anything that comforts him.
Andy finished early from work and took us all out to our local shopping centre. I made a point of trying on lots of boots at 3 different shops and kept saying I didn't like them and they were not as good as my old ones so now Sam is happy and said I'm silly for wanting new boots :A
We all had a Pizza tonight, apart from Mollie of course and Sams gone to bed - worn out - but happy.
I feel like rubbish but am getting lots of love from my darling hubby and Mollie gave me her first kiss tonight - I just said "Mollie Kiss" and she opened her mouth wide and stuck it against mine so that was lovely too. Tomorrows another day - and Parent's evening - so will wake up tomorrow and start again. I think I'm going to have to get used to having days like this, i could still burst out crying but am holding it in - my wonderful son is now happy and thats all that matters to me.
As for my "mum" and dad - will that will have to be dealt with on another day - as I don't feel up to it at the moment though my Mum is still banned but doesn't know it yet. Andy is going to call up after Parents Evening and tell her. My dad is on lates this week so at least he wont have to face him at the moment.
Oh, a bit of good news - I got a letter from the Halifax today offering me full settlement of my charges - £826 so am pleased about that though it will have to go in the account to help pay off the OD but every little helps. I could have used the money though but they are still refusing to pay by cheque, oh, well never mind.
Andy has bought me a bottle of Baileys (expensive I know but I didn't ask for it) so I am going to have a long soak and a large glass of Baileys and have an early night.
Goodnight, god bless! again - thanks for all your wonderful support. It means such a lot xxx0
