I woke up with a splitting headache this morning, bleurgh. It's stayed all day
In better news though, I got 82% on my :money: assignment :T:T That's not bad as it was the one I was doing when I was feeling bad. Seriously - why am I skint??? Maybe it's like dieting, I know what I *should* be doing, but then do the opposite :rotfl:
Or of course, it could be the fact that I think there are 4 months in a quarter  :rotfl::doh:"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Hi jwil - hope that the headache has gone now. Well done on your sales :T and doubly well done on your assignment results :T:T Any pearls of wisdom to share with us?
- Other than that a quarter doesn't have 4 months in it
:D - only joking x
Well i *should* be listing things for sale now but a) don't have anything to list and b) don't have the motivation for it eitherBut i *need* to do it as i need the money
My aim is 100 newly listed items - today i've done 4 and 15 yesterday so total of 19/100. I know they won't all sell though i'd be delighted if they did but i figure the more i get on there the more chance i have of selling at least some of it. Think i'll try and sort out another 16 items to list tomorrow so that'll take me up to 35/100. EDIT - just listed 1 more item so now at 20/100
It didn't help that having been up early yesterday i ended up having a late night - not by choice - and then a terrible nights sleep so am exhausted now *yawn*CC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -

Don't mock the dense-o DDFWI'm consistent though - I made the same mistake in two different questions. It was the only marks I dropped in that section too, I would have had full marks otherwise
It's a really interesting course actually, I've been enjoying it. I think most of the stuff I've done so far I kind of know from here, though I have learnt a lot of new stuff about financial history and that which helps put things in perspective. I think the rest of the course is going to get harder though, so that will be
Well done on your listings though :T I need to get motivated again and get a lot of new stuff on. I need to get on and clear this debt. Hope you get a better night's sleep tonight.
My next course I've got to start paying for next month, and so it's going to be tight again. So I need to get ahead.
Only 4 days left at work til I'm on leave though "Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Hi Jwil and friends,
well done on the results :T Gosh no idea where you time find for studying and working and ebaying. Hope you are feeling better now.
After the thrill of the payout of the PPI claim and then then the disappointment of being charged for overpayments - it seems that in fact the bank can and will charge me for overpayments so I feel a bit demotivated but need a kick to pick up and carry on and take the overpayments as part and parcel. I think I will save a bit and then pay off so it makes it seem like I am actually still paying a chunk off it.
Anyway I am going to hang out here a bit more as I really really need to get ebaying again.

Hi Jwil
I agree with LAM2011 how do you get the time to do so much.:) Well done on your marks and I hope your headache has eased and that you got a reasonable nights sleep."You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream"C. S. Lewis

Is it some inner often submerged instinctive reaction to an adverse weather forecast? Something handed done by generations of forefathers?? Or just people following a herd reaction? I am bemused:rotfl:
Hi Brizzled
I'm really not sure what got in to people because the forecast clearly said that there wouldn't be much snow and that it wouldn't last long. I personally ran around Asda in record time as I was in a mad hurry - but when I commented on the crowds, the young guy on the checkout just reckoned that people are mad.
Thing is, the place was full of old people - I am guessing they were a bit panicked at the thought of being snowed in with no food. When I am old(er) I am going to keep a full storecupboard so that I am never worried by the possibility of bad weather - just like I do now in fact.
Are you from Brizzle, then Brizzled? I am not far from Bristol - we do our 'girly' shopping at Cabot or Cribbs.0 -

Well done on the assignment, excellent work, Jwil.
Also well done on your recent sales, you doing so well. :T
Hope the headache went away and that you're feeling good today.
I'm feeling totally rubbish today, so no Bodyrock session for me. How annoying. Still, I'll stick to the healthy eating.0 -

peaceandfreedom - good luck to you for that piece of furniture selling.
Well done on the sale, DDFW. I have tons of stuff to get rid of, if only I could get around to it.
The furniture has lots of views and 6 watchers but no bids. Still, it doesn't end until Sunday and I set the starting value to the amount I was prepared to take for it, so one bid will do it. I'll hope for the best. If I can't sell it, I will Freecycle it, it will certainly go fast then.0 -

Well done, DDFW, you are getting there!

That's ridiculous about the overpayments  It makes sense to save up a lump sum instead.
