    Hey everyone :)

Been to the dentist - so that's all done now. I feel a bit 'gappy' but can go back in 3 months to discuss what can be done. At least it was all free and I shouldn't have to worry about it all now.

Had some more sales on ebay over the weekend so that's all good. Am going to try and get some more on now as well. I did make my 100 listings again this weekend, but as most of it was books, I don't anticipate they will sell very quickly.

Retired - sorry to hear you and your OH are still unwell. It's frustrating when the sales don't go too well isn't it.

Peaceandfreedom - nice to see you again. I'm due 23rd February. No rest for the wicked sadly! Good luck with the raising of extra funds in December. I shall be carrying on too.

DDFW - I didn't get the Kindle Fire in the end, I decided I'd go for the HD version, so there was no urgency. I spent £15 of my vouchers at the weekend, but redeemed another £10 and have just requested a £5 one, so I should be back to where I was again soon towards that. DH is also going to contribute so it will be my Xmas pressie :)

So, the good news is - I passed my course :T :T :j :j So relieved about that! It only scraped through, but that's enough for me. It also means I will be the proud owner of another degree and diploma. :j

I'm sure I had more to update but can't remember now. :o

I have those days as well, I think it's a bit of everything on my part too!

    Have a good evening :)

The HD kindle is lovely - i've nothing to compare it to and was very lucky to get the top version of the kindle fire too :) Where are you getting your vouchers from jwil - i got one the other day from valued opinions but i don't think i'm getting them from anywhere else ?

    Thanks everyone :)

Well done on the sales DDFW :j I'm getting my amazon vouchers from the survey sites - they are always the option I take. I've had them recently from My Survey, Ipsos and Valued Opinions.

Glad you are enjoying the kindle fire, can't wait to get one.

I finished the finance course earlier this year - passed too thankfully. I can have a proper break now. Though of course this means I will miss out on the transition arrangements. Does anyone know if I can count a 10pt short course towards that? I registered for an Open Degree so I could do some courses that I was interested in, but am not up to doing a longer course next year so was wondering if I could do a short course to keep me up in with the lower fees.

My maternity leave starts the day before I'm due (subject to health and baby cooperating of course!) Because I've got to go back fairly early, I'd rather have the time after. My new leave year starts in Feb so I'll probably take a week of leave first too so I'll still have leave left when I go back.

Woo-hoo congrats on passing your course - BIG achievement. :T

If you take a look at any module while logged into your OU account, you should see fees that apply to YOU - i.e. the fee should be the transitional fee if it's allowed. Try again while not logged in and see if the fee changes.

As you are doing an Open degree, I would have thought that any course counts towards it, in which case a ten-pointer would be fine. Plan it well, though, you don't want to be studying in the immediate months after having your baby - you want to be able concentrate your energies on loving your gorgeous child. :)

How long will you get off altogether, Jwil? Gosh, it's getting close now, how very very exciting. :j

DDFW, well done on the sales. :T I'm jealous of the decluttering and the ebay selling. Embarrassed really that I haven't got around to selling much myself. :o

I know what you mean, I am trying to keep the going-out to a minimum but it's so hard - we have quite a busy social life. Also Christmas is tough anyway, with teenagers to buy presents for - as they get older, the stuff they want gets smaller but MUCH more expensive.

Off now to add up my sealed pot contents - hope there's at least £300 in there. Fingers crossed. :D

    Hi everyone

Well done JWIL on the exam pass. Wow I dont know how you did it but its done now.

I seemed to have lost track this month with spends / sales etc. No further ebay sales as my house is now a complete and utter tip. If a burglar came he would think someone had been in before him! It looks at though a plumbers van has been tipped upside down in it  Hopefully by this weekend though our log burning stove will be providing heating and hot water to the house! I have been promised the front room will be liveable for xmas.

I have managed my christmas presents off amazon vouchers and only a small thing to get for my brother now - we only buy token gifts for each other and its only my son I spend more on and then this year I am copping out by giving him booze and some money. :o He is so hard to buy for as he never wants anything.

The actual day is no biggie for us - just a normal roast dinner and then off to OH family in evening for big picnic type scenariou on lounge floor with all the rest of the huge family.

I cant see myself getting properly motivated now into raising extra cash until Jan. I dont really have anything left to sell apart from a few horsey bits that still need proper cleaning, oiling and making look presentable.
