Thanks DDFW, it feels nice to be achieving stuff even if the house doesn't look any better yet. It will all add up in the end!
We did our supermarket shop this morning as well, I seem to have spent a fortune
Have a good day yourself and good luck with sorting the makeup bag"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Did a bit of sorting out of some boxes and found another 45 magazines to flick through and get rid of
I've got quite a bit going out on ebay at the moment, so should have a few sales to add later.
I've added some more to my decluttering list now:

You are doing great jwil :T i bet you feel amazing with all this sorting going on - i know you say you can't see much of a difference as yet but as you keep up with it then you will start to see the changes
Hope you got alot for your money then with the shopping
I spent more than i wanted tobut then again i did stock up on some offers of toiletries and jars of stuff so really its not so bad - if i hadn't got these (which i didn't need to get but will certainly make things easier over the coming weeks then i would've spent about what i wanted to.

I can't see any difference yet :rotfl: but I'm sure it will happen eventually!
I'm not sure that I did get an awful lot for the money, though it was stocking up on cat food and shampoo etc so it probably wasn't as bad as it looks.
It's always worth stocking up on offers when you can I think as otherwise you've often got to pay full price when you do need them."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Well I've carried on a bit more this afternoon. I've decluttered a few more things which takes me to a quarter of the target amount :T I've also listed 4 items on ebay for DH.

Well I've made £30 on ebay today :j and also won a hefty £2.50 on the lottery to add as well.
I've now relisted everything that didn't sell, and that will be the last time for some of it, so it will go to boot sale/charity after that.
Have a good evening everyone"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Gosh Jwil - I dont know how you keep the momentum going
you are really good. I listed a few things and still waiting for payment on an item that I relisted for nonpayment last time  for goodness sake! I just hope its because of the long weekend.
DDFW - you have reminded me to through my make up - its in 2 different bags and I am really only a mascara and lippy girl
The weekend has flown by and the house is a mess (partly due to an argument with OH which left me in a sulk refusing to pick up after everyone) Took one of my horses to a cross country training day which cost me £12 so not very MSE but lots of fun and then came home and made food from cupboards. Old potatoes made into a bake with a jar of potatoe bake sauce - 2 chicken fillets with a jar of chicken tikka - which was hotbut made ok by the creamy sauce - very odd combination but it needed using
and then a few frozen sausages for the kids and there not enough to do a meal for everyone.
Oh well back to the grind stone tomorrow but at least its a short week.0 -
Just popping to say . I've had computer/Internet problems and haven't been around much let alone post. My laptop, for some unknown reason, decided it was going to switch off and everytime it did I lost passwords etc and it just became too much of any effort to keep resetting. Fingers crossed it's all fixed now.
I've overspentand haven't made any money on Eb*y. My part-time job has come to and end (although tbh I really didn't earn much and my outgoings were more than my incomings).
I'm going to back track over the past few days to see what you've all been up to. I can see jwil that you're still having sucess on your selling (and winning on the lottery :rotfl:)
Have a fun day.0 -

Thanks LAM, I have plenty of lazy days too
Sounds like you had a nice weekend, bar arguments with OH (well done for not picking up after everyone though :T )
I hope your slow payers pay up soon. I wish ebay would do something about them ."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

Nice to see you again retired
That's frustrating about the computer, hope it's fixed now.
I'm being very successful with small amounts on the lottery, but that darned big jackpot is still being very elusive :rotfl:
Hope you can get back on track with the spending, and selling soon. Shame about the job finishing, but it doesn't sound like it was overly worth it!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do".
