eBay | multiple auction winner refusing to pay...

Hi,
Quite a few of my auctions have ended tonight and someone has won 4 of my auctions (clothing) - low winning prices + £2.50 P&P each.
They have sent a request for a payment invoice, so I sent the invoice with the full amount for postage (i.e. no postage discounts). They have sent me a message saying that they want to cancel all items as postage is too high.
I asked them why they hadn't contacted me before the auction ended if P&P was an issue, or if I would be willing to combine postage. To which I got an "I didn't have time" answer.
Where do I stand with this?
Are they committed to buy?
What should I do?
I am not really willing to lower P&P charges as I consider my fees fairly incorporate postage, packaging, time and travel to the PO.
Thanks for your help on this one...

I have to agree with this...
Yes the buyer should have contacted you regarding combined postage...
But they must be some pretty heavy clothes is they going to cost £10 for postage and packing...
Maybe contact the buyer again saying they are all packed and ready to go in single packets waiting for you to add addresses, if you aren't prepared to reduce postage...
If the buyer pays for each item separatley then paypal charge you 20p per transaction anyway...
So combining will save you 60p straight away before savings on postage....
But at the end of the day its your call.0 -
What is your reason for not combining postage?0

Unless you are planning to pack and post in 4 separate trips then I cannot see any justification for not combining postage. I would have expected the buyer to ask for a combined price, but even so I think you are being unreasonable and likely to get negative feedback.
Don't be greedy and be grateful you only need to wrap one package and go to the PO once!A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Wait 4 days and raise 4 NPB's and don't sell your items or if you're a fair minded and reasonable person have a bit of Christmas spirit and compromise.
A little bit of give and take is the solution here.0 -
Have you got an actual reason why you won't combine postage? The buyer could make things really awkward for you if they felt like it.
At the very least expect to get low stars and negative feedback. But if conning a few quid out of your buyer is more important then go ahead and report them for not paying.
Also, don't be surprised if some of the items get "lost in the post."
Ebay only works if people are fair and reasonable to each other.0 -
To be fair I'd be pretty annoyed (nice way of putting it) if you were expecting me to pay £10 postage and refuse combined p+p, why do people even have to ask you for it? Just combine the p+p.The Fields are Green, The sky is blue, the River Nene goes winding through, The market square is Cobblestoned, It shakes the old dears to their bones, A finer town you'll never see, A finer town they'll never be, Big city lights don't bother me, Northampton Town I'm proud to be!0

Got to agree here.
I buy and sell loads, always have a massive roll of bubble wrap, brown paper, tape etc etc
I take into account the fact when people buy multiple items off me. I need one trip to the posty, half the materials, simple really..0
