I recently learned about blueitts (sp?) I still wasn't quite brave enough to eat them as I am a bit wary of mushrooms, but the purplish tinge on the stalks is quite a good indicator I think :o

 Found new diary and was speed reading through - must slow down as I thought the above was about eating bluetits

Oh Pippi, take care - don't make yourself ill, better to leave stuff undone than come down with something just before the holidays xxx

Teapot- hello! I'm glad something gave you a laugh xxx

    Hi all
Pippi 'calm down dear' or whatever it is Michael Winner used to say in some advert. Sendidng positive vibes as my stamina seems to have given up a bit too.
Heavy sleet here followed by snow. I've been out in the fleece lined wellies and christened the snow shovel to make a path out to the garden for Max.
She's been back to the vets for a check up. He's very impressed with her progress and says she could continue to recover for up to 3 months from the stroke She amazed him by automatically going and standing on the scales but she always has as she knows when she sees the vet she gets weighed.
He said she has a good quality of life, is 'a delightful little dog' and gave her 10 days of anti inflammatories for stiffnes in her back legs probably caused by beiong wobbly / falling in the early stages of recovery. He doesn't think it's a long term problem. She even got a biscuit out of the 'special tin' for being a good patient.
Right, off to do some baking, I've promised cakes to a couple of my Aunties so I'd better get on
    Keep safe everyone.

That was the very first diary or so with blackbirds, puffins, guinea pigs and other delights in the freezer!

Thank you that made me giggle. And hello

Lt thank you for the lobbed up stamina, got here in a flash don't you know!

Cheri, kc and sfrd red and everyone thank you - it's been a long two weeks final haul today, last 'womble HQ day' tomorrow

Then think about organising our holidays.

Gv, thank you, I've calmed down, thought ok, if I don't get it done, so what. Glad max good, eek to snow, hard frost here, which hardly ever happens.

Last night sat back, had glass war mulled wine, update our online list and stuck it on fb, booked train and helped dd get outfit ready. Ds hoovered house, dd walked dog/did dishes, I cook that tea and today's tea is ready for them as I won't get home until 10pm.

All pitching in, works better. For party today, surfed freezer, have a few bits to share (pot luck tonight). Nuff done there.

Mince pies for yard tomorrow, will do in am, got ready flattened pastry and a jar of mincemeat, not hard will do before work.

So far so good. Still kicking!

  • Afternoon Everyone:D

    Wonderful news about Max, Greenval

Pippi it is true about the stamina thing, especially this time of year. We all think we absolutely have to do absolutely everything before Christmas. No we don't unless is going to rot, cause harm to life, health etc., I am going to let eveyone into a little secret.:shhh:............ It will still be there to do after Christmas:rotfl:

    That said.
I need to get washing up done, Springclean bathrooms, pack decoration boxes away, take stuff to charity shop, finish present shopping, do food shopping. finish work up so I can start fresh in New Year. Post rest of cards. Update diary, check medical appointments......................................

Can you see a pattern here. We never learn. Rushes off to find mulled wine recipe:j
