  • Hey up chaps - hope you're all grand.

Im up and about and about to tackle the day - its not started brilliantly. But, trying to shake myself out of it.

Hope you all have a good un.

Looked at the weather for the next week - I might be better to leave a day earlier than expected - which hadn't really planned for.

Hi Pippi! I haven't seen the forecast yet, but that sounds bad - hope it doesn't materialise...
2023: the year I get to buy a car
  • Hey up KC - its due to hit here on late tues early wednesday and get progressively worse - (gales then severe gales as the week progresses - xmas eve looks awful 60mph+- truly awful)

I have to be doon sooth by the 23rd at the very latest - which might mean leaving here same day as kids booking a b&b (if I do that the boat will get in at t-time and I can't face a 6 hr drive to OH) - then i can pootle down the next day - if the roads allow.

Washing whizzing around, hens bedded and given our snow - I'm going to fathom if I can leave them so stocked to the gunnels they will be OK for a long time if my pal can't get in here (we are both very rural) - hens are fine if given enough food/water they can tick over (they won't eat the lot in one go) and a closer my neighbour could look in - I've even propped the big byre open with boulders so if its as bad as expected they can be cosy inside (not htat they normally go IN if the weathers grim, but maybe with the food in there too they will be OK)

DD cooking away - I'm going to find a bag and begin to pack - my first load of washing is in.

Cheery don't worry about catching up -

    Cheery abstract:

Worked alot over past two weeks, new diary, just had full month of womble too, billed both - not sure when to expect money, kids great, weather pants and getting worse - packing :) oh and I got my hair cut and coloured :)

    (I think thats it?)

Yay, Pippi I forgot about your hair cut is it good? are you pleased? I bet Mr F will be surprised. (photos FB?)

I would go for travelling down the same day as the littles, can you travel with them? It would be nice to do that I guess. A night in a B&B is a nice thing to treat yourself to as well. Is there really anything that you need to stay at home for? If not then better to be safe than sorry. It could be your first adventure of the year (my year starts on Christmas Day not New Years day)

Love the idea of new year starting Christmas day! :T :T

Gosh Pippi, sounds like rotten weather up there. Hens will be fine I'm sure - they're sensible(ish) creatures! I'd go for travelling down earlier if you can xxx
  • hey up you lot!

OK begun cooking all the 'will go off' stuff in the fridge - going to do a food box for wik and also have got all the laundry done and hanging up
Hens done - and pal coming tomorrow to check what to do
Work will be put into the whole of tomorrow and then forgotten about

Tuesday got to book boat, book a hotel or sil - depending on how they are and how the roads are.............................

Xmas day beginning a new year - how lovely MrsM!

Haircut - um yup looks ace with a hat on (which was one of the criteria) bit lighter than normal - but being that stupid 'strawberry blonde' colour means I appear to have my summer colour in winter - I might ask her to darken it a bit next time - liked her - love the cut - will go back.

    :)

so pleased that you like your haircut. Haircuts are very important to me as I have prattled on about incessantly but I seriously need one at the moment.

Food box sounds like a nice idea. Dont overdo it tomorrow trying to fit everything in because it will wait til you get home if it doesnt get done.
