Hey up KC - yup we talked about that - but I'm off for two weeks - (a great excuse - listen to this one) and I'm needing to bank a few womble hours to make sure I'm at quota for January....................this is my shiny new month.
And, yup I've put £100 over into that bank od - 4p not much, I'll write that invoice and mail it today (email) - might get that in a week or so.
srfd - poor you - keep yourself warm and you're right this time of year - hard to make sure you get it all done!
Now, I've done a bloglet - which has been a hoot - (full of food and dead sock toys and bargains) - I've to get ready and go into town and get on with more bits from there.
And, meeting a chum for a cuppa!

Well definitely better for the bath. Thanks for the thoughts:)
Feel like a member of the human race again, inspected face in mirror so now I am not too sure:eek:
Shortly I shall go off and do battle with the kitchen. My current aim is a tidy house. Then it should be an easy to clean house:o
I have looked at our finances until the end of January  I have also done a shopping list to fit into my meal plan up to the New Year.
I have tinkered with the heating to see how low I can turn the radiator thermostats and still maintain some heat circulating through the house, this is todays ongoing experiment.
So I am off the read the gas meter. Make another warm drink and attack the kitchen.
Read the bloglet pippi. I love the luggage conveyor belt thingy with the tree in the middle. Somehow now makes Gatwick very impersonal:rotfl:My finances are work in progress.Normal veiwing will resume shortly0 -
greenval i'm so pleased to hear that Max has recovered well but also have to confess to laughing about the washing, i like starnac was imagining scooby doo and was also wondering where my potential dog will like to sleep when we eventually get her.0

hi all,
I laughed at all the washing/ghost dogs - and will have chance to make my own soon as I have 2 new (to me) pooches arriving next week. They will make bigger ghosts than me (both leggy greyhounds, and I'm a dinky five footer!).
Pippi can I join your Slow Food group as a distance partaker perhaps?I was in Italy this summer and saw a beautiful Slow Food poster in a restaurant we ate in (which wasn't very good, bizarrely for Italy!). I can't speak Italian but can read a bit - will try and dig out the picture I took of it, as it really was beautiful.
near where I work, we have a buttie shop and he had a poster up saying "We don't serve fast food, we serve good food as fast as we can" which I think is great
greenval, I'm glad Max has recovered so well
LOVE LOVE LOVE the festive luggage carousel too! :j0 -

well you will laugh at these then! Ronnie and Wendy :rotfl:
There is one at the rescue kennels called Noel, poor thing!
I lost my 12 year old brindle boy Bubble (even worse name for a boy dog!) in June - I shared him with my ex hubby after we split up. These 2 are jet black with slightly grey noses and are just gorgeous! Ronnie is 5 and Wendy is just 6.
Bubble was a big strong lad too - if he got a bit lively (which he did occasionally when we first had him, he was still very keen) the best way for me to hang onto him was to climb over his shoulders and grip them tight with my kneeshe seemed to get the message thank goodness, as I dread to think what we looked like! He soon settled down and realised he didn't have to chase crisp packets/cyclists/birds, but bunnies still sent him twitching right until the end!

Roger does try his luck with birds. Cormorants...he even thought he'd get the better of a heron once (well, straining at the lead and kept looking back at me begging me to let him off for a chase!) R stole my heart as soon as I saw his photo..I was dead set on getting a younger dog...he turned 8 in September
... it was a running joke at the kennels that I love Roger more than my OH...and he knew it! Ronnie and Wendy are ace names
I bet Bubble is having fun on the rainbow bridge chasing all those bunnies

Oh Pippi, poor you. I am so sorry I have no spare stamina but I would give it to you if I did. Erm........ what to suggest...... erm.......... sleep? erm........ redbull?
I hope that you feel a bit better soon. Slow down a tad. Holidays soon and you can let OH do all the energetic stuff and you can just go to the spa and relax and recharge batteries. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons.
