I love your puppies, the baby is just soooooo cute in particular (don't tell the older one, he'll be miffed with me!!)

DD is still on at me to get a cat, but until I know what's happening job-wise, I'm holding off......as there's a possibility we may move in with my parents for a year or so and rent the building site out (might have to finish it off first....noone would pay to live like we are right now, lol)

OK I've tackled the utility room and can now move in it.

All but half of one of the bags is unpacked and 5 loads washing through the machine. Phew.

Kitchen tidier - not 100% still have to wash floor and put away washing up - couple things left to wash and then its a bit spick and spanny

    Stairs tackled and need wiped

Bathroom one decluttered and ready to clean the 'white' goods (toilet and sink)

Folded dry washing - hung up 3rd load inside - 4th load is on airer and 5th is whirring away.

Living room just needs a quick hoover and a tidy of the blankets.

Halls need hoovered but have lost the will to live so I doubt that will happen today.

My bedroom in shrouded in darkness and remains untouched by human hand. Probably best way really.

Can now get to both freezers without killing self - so thats progress.

KK - hope the job thing sorts itself out soon xx I love cats - I have to feed my chums one later as she's on holiday. So I'll get a wee pat then.

Onwards to think of opening work diary. Only *think* mind.

Ok final update for today - cupboards sorted and my 'eat the cupboards and freezer' challenge has begun.

Tonight - tuna fish casserole layer (tinned tuna, frozen pre-cooked and boxed up rice, chopped onion, a tin sweetcorn and covered in cheese sauce*) baked for 20 mins was delish and a whole tray of leftovers too.

*cheese sauce made from old cheese bits chopped from the manky bits of cheese in the fridge and then frozen for a handy day, previously frozen 10p milk and (whispers) custard powder - which makes an ace cheese sauce as long as you dont add sugar!

    *dont judge me!!!!*

    Today was a NSD!

Hi starnac, the next and final step is to have a really nasty operation, so the lovely doctor wants me to have fun as much as possible as the op will take a loooooong time to recover from, no walking for months, no driving for even longer, if at all etc, and will be a bit life-changing.

I'm hoping that I can stave it off for at least 5 years, but I keep on being told my ankle is like that of a 75 year old arthritic....ho hum!

Pippi -not judging, but hope you have some tummy ache remedies after that delicious-sounding cheese sauce!!
  • Hugs KK - sounds like you need to live life to the full until you get to the stage you need the op and then make sure you can be taken care of until you recover. xxxxxx 75 year old ankles....poor you.

Sauce was yummy - and so far (so good) no ill effects. The sauce was nice and yellowy. The frozen cheese edges saved combo were pale so it did brighten the sauce up a bit.

    Live dangerously I say.

    :)

    Brave KK - hugs xx

Well you don't as far as I can see - hope you can get a bit of time with OH as sounds like you could do with a bit of spoiling. xxx

Today - as womble land calls me to the mother ship - I've got the water on for a shower -

    Need
    Make lunch
    Walk dogs
    Focus today and work hard
Go to town to do a few things (combine petrol)
Buy sugar (have vouchers, so hopefully a NSD) to make elderflower cordial
    Collect flowers for said cordial
    Feed hens and collect eggs
Cut my own grass with the smaller mower
    Give darwin a drive
Sort through a few forms in post to do for DD being 16 this week
Arrange a visit with the landlord new lady and sort out lease for new house.
HM tea - probably more tuna fish casserole as I'm not dead today
Sort out another drawer for charity shop/recycling
Begin to make an ebay pile
    Walk the dogs
    Banks to check
    CC to check
One poll - try and do a few more surveys again and push that figure up to £40 payout
Do more cleaning if I'm really naughty
Do another load or two of washing (kids bedding) as its dry.

So that's me today.............hope you all have a good un!

KK you don't seem to whinge. But if you do I don't blame you x

Pippi how long does elderflower cordial keep for? DH opened a bottle from about 2weeks ago and there was a lot of gas in it you'd think he'd opened champagne! Do I have to do something to it to store it?

DD is a bit better today so will be sending her to school tomorrow for the last day of term. She hasn't had a last day of the year before so it'll be nice for her I think plus she's got presents to take her teachers and teaching assistants. There are 2 TA and one who's been there on placement for months so she needed 4 presents  luckily I am a MSE convert so I managed to make 4 presents for less than £1 each :money: so I'm pretty pleased with that
    Goals for February
    Declutter 2/50
    Money Made £0/£200
    Overpayments £0/£200
  • Oh my Pippi you do have quite a plan.

I remember your lists from days gone by and by those standards this one is quite tame:rotfl:

I should have been getting on with revising business plan, but I have to confess I have been distracted by MSE'ing. I have revised my tv/phone/internet package and have saved myself about £20 per month on that. My next job is to cancel sky and that will save us about another £59 per month:eek:. I can't believe we spent that on tv. I am not the watcher here, this was the rest of the clan, however were, one's moved out, one "doesn't have time for tv" as he is busy, and dh, is happy with n*tfl*x. saved £40 a month on gas/electric. These little chores were long overdue.

I have to confess I am quite worried about lottie today, was hoping to go up later and pick fruit, but I suspect it will have been battered to a pulp by the rain we have just had:(. Little dog, has been barking like a banshee at the thunder, but I think she is protecting me:rotfl:. Cos when I had had enough of the noise and put her in my room she shut up and went to sleep:D

Thanks for the heads up on the cheese/custard. I am going to have to try that one.

Eco car sounds good, and well timed as well. Moving on will be quite an adventure for you. My dd moved out last year, and she starts uni in September. DS has another year at college and then I suspect he will move on as he wants to teach as well as perform. So we will see.

    :wave:to everyone (yes still lurking)

Well maybe another coffee, :naughty: and I think some cleaning. I will probably be better working this evening, as all the grot around me is getting on my nerves
My finances are work in progress.
    Normal veiwing will resume shortly
