    Hi Skint :)

I noticed that too on the thread I was looking at, I thought it was you! Not sure what can be done maybe someone else will come along with some advice. If they could put a number after their id it would be better, they should change their id not you!

Room for another newbie. OH is out of work again-but as he works in IT alot of the work now seems to be contract work so hopefully he will be back in work early in the new year. I have actually quite enjoyed cutting right back and finding bargain gifts for crimbo/cooking and baking from scratch, doing surveys etc to bring down our costs.
What with getting used to living on a lower income and bargain hunting once back in work we should be able to save much more.
I also intend to push even more on the grow your own front to cut costs in summer, as well as keeping up with my surveys and finding extra earners.
I have always wanted to write so want to push on with that and try to get something published next year if only a short story-again could be a money earner.
Finally I am pursuing a few PPI reclaims and am awaiting the FOS investigations so am hopeful some of those may come to fruition next year.

So we are going to aim for between £6k and £10k. Need aroun £6 to convert the garage into a 4th bedroom now youngest of our 4 in over 1 and to sort out our back door and a few other bits in the house and garden. If we can hit the £10k we can consider a new kitchen-will do the work ourselves, but need to buy the cupboards/sink etc and hopefully leave a bit in savings for a rainy day fund. We will see lol.

Just think a end target, even if a long shot is worth having to focus the mind.

hi chelt did wonder if the save £12,000 or £2012 challenges would be more appropriate but well most dribblers cant afford to save £12,000 in a year but would like to try for a bit more than £2012 maybe we wont make it ,but we can try!!!!!!!!!!!!! .

I like the fact that the thread is open to any target .

My plan is shifts on the nurse bank and ebay/gumtree selling with the odd bit of freecycling donating to charity flung in .
I'm also going to focus on my named keyrings as a side line so feel very focused might be a bit blurry in the new year after all the food and drink lol

  • I'm in too...

Trying some new online marketing business, which will hopefully start making me money in the new year. That will count towards the 12K...
Will also include OT at work, eBay selling and anything else I can pick up.

    Here's to Jan 1 2012 !! Bring it on...
    2012k in 2012 - £0.00 / 2012
    12K in 2012 Challange - £0.00/£12000
  • With or without "these infomative rules" I'm loading up my paypal account to give me a boost into the new year. Still getting payments dribbling through from freelancer and another couple of employers who pay me direct, and should be able to get a good January (though if I get anywhere near £1,000 I'll be delighted!).
    DFW - DEBT FREEEEEE!

    Total - 10762/10762 :)
