I know exactly what u mean! I actually enjoy saving now.... altho u wouldn't know it to look at the state of my bank balance just now! When I paid off my last CC, it was a real struggle to transfer the money across, partly because I didn't wanna loose the money out of my savings acc, and partly as u said, once ur debt debt is paid, what now!?! But with my monthly saves (car ins/hols/birthdays etc) I really hate having to transfer it across because I din't like seeing my balance go down! I suppose I have the best of both worlds atm because I'm trying to build up savings in my bank, and clear OH's CCs at the same time...
How long does ur 0% last on ur Argos card?

I'm in the same position as Sarah, I'm building my own savings but still battling away at my parent's debts so that balance is good.

hehe sarah... i guess its finding that balance isnt it. You know savings vs spends... When you pay off your dh credit card i bet it will be mega hard then :rotfl: argos is 6months :j

It'll definately be hard for him, because he's a compulsive spender, but I'm hoping that by then (its gonna take about a year) I will really have got out of the habit of spending.....
So Argos is always 6 months, from the date u purchase ur stuff? Thats really good!

Ohhh i hope so... from you diray he is gettiung better ~ fingers crossed Nah thats if you spend over £195 if you spend over £95 its 3 months 0% and under that you get your usual 59 days :rotfl:then certain items are 12 months or 2 years. I must say though the chest of drawers are back in stock but now the wardrobe is out of stock :rolleyes: :mad:

Ur right about OH, he is getting better.... I think he's realising that by spending all his money when he did, he is now skint for the rest of the year! But he's putting in some OT each week, and I will take some to pay off his CCs, but the rest I will let him keep so he doesn't get so pee'd off - If he's not pee'd off, hes much more receptive to the ways of the DFW..... still hasn't posted tho!

I do that with my dad Sarah, any Saturday work is overtime to us so I put half towards his van and give him half to spend. The look on his face when I hand over £100 at the end of the month. He even asked me to put some back for his insurance :eek:

yep sarah, the chest of drawers were out mid wek when i tryed to order them :mad: will have to keep trying... Good news about you oh... at least he is changing albiet slowly... good idea to half the ot (and you gem) it means they arnt effectively working for nothing...

Well thats 10 things listed on ebay and my desk cleaned... just have to wrap this parcel ~ make cards ~ bath now and its still only 1pm :j
