It's your decision pap, you must do what's best for you xx
  • one hour she said

Anyways thanks all, if i was honest it was all getting on top of me, what with work and then haveing to work 6 days and not getting a full day off as i was running around and then going to college. So there you go college is done :D Ok i do fill a bit down about it but my life i feel is stuck till may/june next year and i dont want it to be like that. Also come jan i may be able to train in a area where i work allowing me a £1000 yearly wage rise, ok its not much but its more. Plus i want to push my cards to get and save more... which comes on nicely to the next part.

I have taken everything from my savings (ing) and moved them to halifax, ok its not much but its a bit. Also i feel more incontrol with halifax as i am yet to know how to withdraw from them :rotfl: i have a locked account and an open account. So at the moment i am chucking it in and i feel i cant withdraw from it. I am also going to go into natwest bank and close my isa and move that to halifax in april i then want to fill that by the end of 2008, well thats the idea. I will also treat that as locked.

Ummm workmen gone ~ woo hoo so my bedroom has a new lino (wooden design) and its back together in a better way giving me more space. Also it means more card making space. But i also found £10 and 13p in coppers to today so i was quite chuffed :) I have finished all my xmas shopping now just money to get out and vouchers to write. My brother is gettiung 10 hours of driving lessons and my mums getting a voucher for a bedroom make over (the wardrobe she wants is in ikea for £70 and then two cabinets for £30 each. Obviously these two will be payed for in january/febs pay so all is well.

Ummm driving test is next month :T so when i pass i will have nearly £400 to save so i need targets to meet. The holiday with my friend has now turned into a blackpool type thing so less money for that. So all togther finances are looking grand. Birmingham meet fastly drawing in so train tickets need booking and rooms etc need booking so will prob attempt that next payday.

My payment of argos will be payed next month meaning i am debt free again, wel i was debt free before but you know what i mean, the card is now cut up but i am unsure of closing the account

Ohhh and one last thing 23 days till my birthday :T now i know this will sound silly but if my fiances allow i will be buying myself a special treat of a new digi cam. sad i know but mine is nearly 4 years old and i have had my eye on one for 6 months... so that may be my gift to me :rotfl:

Thats it i think but anything i have missed just ask...

    take care all
  • Loved ur post Pap, it just screamed 'positive attitude'! Good luck for ur driving test (I won't say any more because I am a terrible jinx!)
It might be worth waiting til just after ur birthday for ur cam, there's bound to be loads in the sale after Xmas so u should get a good bargain..... also check out places like Pricerunner and Kelkoo (thru Quidco of course!) to see what online bargains are to be had....
Well done on getting rid of Argoose so quickly!
The gifts for ur Mum/Brother sound great....
Try not to feel too pressured with the cards, make them at a comfortable pace, and fire up the site when ur ready, it's not going anywhere!.... unlike me, I really must go to bed soon!
Here's to 2008  (I know its only the 8th Dec, but next year's gonna be good, I can feel it in my waters.... Loo before be I think! :D )

Hi PaP - just catching up with your thread - Yes, I AM sorry to hear about you leaving college, but, as others have said, it is entirely your decision - only you know what's best for you, and it goes without saying that I respect your decision and wish you well.
I'm pleased to see that you are going to put more time into your cards - I'm positive that they will take off - might be a bit slow after Christmas, but give it a it of time.
I wish you all the best for your driving test.
PaP - keep the Argos account 'live' - just don't be tempted to use it unless you really need to. Glad to see that you've cut up the card - this will make it more difficult to 'impulse buy', but the 'account' would still be there in the case of an emergency.
As far as the camera goes, PaP, most stores, like Curry's and Comet, will probably start their 'Sales' in the week before Christmas - they did last year.

  • Thanks gem.

Rog if i am honest you and snggles i was worried about your reaction however i need to live my life or me, if that means decisions that some dont like so be it. Glad you arnt to botherd iykwim. Yes i want to make these cards come off, i know i can do it its not like its a job as i enjoy making them. We shall see what the new year brings. I dont want to close the account really because its the only credit i have i fear if i close that i will never get credit again. Also most of the things i use daily are likely to break (ie tv/pc monitor etc) so if i have that for emergencys then all should be fine. I will never use it out of an offer though (be it 0% or discount) i dont think i can justify the 27.5% apr  well my birthday is new years eve and i ahve a shopping day planned (on my own) for xmas 08's pressies but i would love to afford my camera, i shall have a looksie after i have priced them on the web before hand. Its not a must have but its just something i would like. Anywyas i am glad you arnt mad at me... take care

Who could ever get 'mad at you' PaP? You are one of the most selfless of posters on this forum, and we all have to make decisions that we feel could prove unpopular with some people, but you have thought things through and, at the end of the day, it is what you think that matters.
    Good luck.
