    gem ~ no i have nothing for the argos card (his payments) hence why i have to pay an extra £30 payday to them, i shall have fridays though to go with it :)... i dont think i can do that with the 0% thingie, although i am not 100% sure what you mean?

    Emmzi ~ i think its a mixture, yes stress, seeing people with other things (jealousy?), working. And this one will sound silly but i feel i have no choices in most of my life however the feeling i get from buying whatever i want whenever i want is lush, however the one 'fix' i get per month isnt working anymore :rolleyes:

    x_raphael_xx ~ well this is it however i am not doubting my abilty to produce cards hence why i havent listed them... see i have been looking at a site with a gallery of card makers/scrappers and my stuff is so rubbish compared to theres and i think well why would someone buy a card from me thats so poorly made and to be honest is pants :(

    Snaggles ~ thanks snaggles...

    The Dragon ~ yes there are loads of schools/adi's where i live however this is the only one in the many i have had that actually has some faith in me and to be honest its a change i could do without :cool:

    ~~~~~~~~~~~
    right another update on finances... mum gave me the £30 for oldmans cremation today so i payed here £10 back so i can take that off my soa for next month but i also brought myself a pair of shoes. Before everyone goes mad they were £10 and i needed them. I have my trainers (4 years old) and then these but i use them for driving and work so they had loads of holes and the soles are just about to wear through so i went and got the exact pair. Right hit me! :rotfl: therefore i have £10.00 left i will use £4 for part of my bus card to save me going to the bank and getting the odds out and then £6 will be put back into my bank :D meal and cinema was great fun yesterday and much needed, although all night i was thinking about money :rolleyes:
    Oh pap...
    back to the matras for you then!
    Do I need it?
    Do I want it?
    Can I get it cheaper?!
    Don't be jealous of people with 'things', you know things don't make you happy!!
  • just caught up! Aw pap I do worry about you :) Sometimes we all spend money we shouldnt and you really are very hard on yourself :( You are generally a shining DFW example but even you have to take a breath and breathe a little. Yes be cautious and dont go wild but allow yourself to relax a bit or you'll go nuts!
    SOrry to hear about the drivng test & that you seem to have had appalling luck with driving instructors...I passed 3rd time & the only crashes I have had in 22 years (makes me sound VERY old!!) are when people have hit me! The only thing I can suggest is when you take your next test before you start sit a moment to gather yourself and calm down - I was so nervous on all my tests my legs almost wouldnt hold me! Its only when I stopped a moment that I was OK & passed! Mine you my dad died before my 2nd test so didnt expect to pass then anyway...
    Have you got oldman back? Macey is now downstairs and ready for her new pot when I find it! While comforting hard to think of her in such a different form but nice its still her...not so comforting to see the £84 come straight out of my account though!!
    Having said all the above PLEASE be careful with scrapping stuff because its so addictive. Part of the reason my debts are so bad is because of all the stash I have (a mini shop!) & its just not worth it & I ended up selling much for much less than I paid for it! Just keep away from shops - online or otherwise!
    How are you feeling generally? You seem a bit flat but its hard to tell from posts? Great news on the pay rise BTW!! Who cares if everyone gets it - its money after all & that doesent matter! Slightly confused why your bro didnt get his own bed? Am I missing sommat!!
    Anyway just wanted to say hi! Big hugs for you & hang in there!
    That's exactly how I felt when I went to see my bro! While I knew I'd put money aside to enjoy myself, and I wasn't leaving myself short. All I could think was 'I could have put that on my credit card'!
    I guess it's hard to get back into spending! Even when it's on a rare treat that you deserve!!
    hi PAP - big hugs. You sound like you have a plan. Perhaps more crafting challenges would help you to use up some of your stash rather than buy new stuff? Would also give you a sense of achievement - I know it does me!
    Hello sweetie
    So sorry to hear about your bunny :sad: and also your driving test but you WILL pass - I promise ;)
    Good luck with the new venture - you certainly have a customer here :D
    Hope you are ok and congrats on the pay rise :T :T and you MUST treat yourself now and again - you have done so very, very well *stern voice now* :rotfl:
    Speak to you soon, love yaaaaaaaaaaaaa xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  • Hi pap, just passing through... sorry about your test :grouphug: but it's all good experience and the important thing is that you don't let it get you down - you will pass so keep that thought!
    Congrats on the pay rise :D
    You seem to have a handle on what you need to do with your spending and I think the important thing is to keep posting, I know the daily spend threads helped keep me in check, I'll be back on them when I am a bit more 'with it' - but we all make 'mistakes' or overdo it from time to time, the danger comes when we hide it or worse don't even realise we're doing it and then end up in trouble... you do so well to catch yourself before it gets out of hand and with your budgeting skills I don't doubt you'll be back on top of things before you know it.
    Don't punish yourself for buying things that you need, either, good shoes are a must with winter on it's merry way...
  • two days since posting on dfw, two days of hell, two days or reading this forum and knowing everyones doing much better than me, two more days of solid depression ~ will this circle ever end :confused:
    Emmzi ~ thanks i do use them when i remember them but its easier for me to just not go to any shops... however online shopping wont close for the night :rolleyes: however i am getting better i removed all my favourite craft shops from my bookmarks and for every 1 item i buy on ebay i have to have sold 5... so i sold 11 last week and brought 2 items both for xmas so i still have money left in my paypal account :D
    fishface-69 ~ thanks i will get tehre on my test however i have said thet if i dont pass before my theory runs out (june) so i could fit 2/3 tests in by then, then i will give up its costing too much now and its not funny :rolleyes: Oldman is on the fishtank next to tabby (my cremated cat) still not 'right' but i suppose there isnt much i can do is there? scrapping stuff, yes i know its getting silly now. I was fine untill i signed up to uks :rolleyes: anyways i am ebaying loads of my cards/card stuff today because to be honest my cards are pants, i have obvously been 'led up the garden path' thinking that anyone will pay anything for them :rolleyes: another good plan and all that... however i will still make some for family etc
    x_raphael_xx ~ i know it feels awful but i felt guilty more so because i had used £400 of my saving that week on nothing and a new driving test/lessons ~ why do i do it?
    Sea78 ~ yes i would love scrapping challanges prehaps in a simmaler way uks do theres but i have no idea how/where to start. I dont like that site so although i will 'join in' i wont upload much because my work is pants.
    right i really dont know whats wrong with me again i just feel :mad: :ocry.gif :cool: :confused:... anyways trying to get through it but nothings working.
    Holiday is now not being booked till new year :rolleyes: the person i am traveling with has a disaplinery in work so she could lose her job so we arnt booking it. So i now have to transfer that all back :rolleyes: well £200 untill a few weeks time or december. Well i aint transfering it back out till december now anyway. I have got an interview for a domestic position however its only 20 hours so i am guessing its less pay so i am not sure i can go for it :rolleyes: and seeing as i am not doing the cards i suppose i can stay where i am.
    need to look at budgets again but its killing me i really do hate money, why when i was so good/so much saved a few weeks ago and now i have nothing again :mad: i cant even save anything :rolleyes: anyways i am off to ebay everything... i am even thinking about getting rid of my wii :eek: why do i do this to myself?
