Had a successful trip to T's, although it was cut short by my crabbit DD!
Got 4 pairs of pyjamas, all half price or better
Tinkerbell £3 down from £6,
Disney Princess £2 down from £5,
Bart Simpson £3.50 down from £7
and the best one was Me to You ones for my DD £3 down from £8
Didn't have time to look for much else due to DD, but delighted with that little haul
Oh, nearly forgot, pink Kokos for £1.01 as per the SEL...those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.

I actually am in in school for 10 hours most week days (probably nearer 11 hours) and spend more time time at home planning and preparing.
Some people should have spent longer in education as they are coming across as most ignorant.
All jobs have their plus and minus points, and I think teachers do an admirable job. However, hopefully you do appreciate the extra time you get off as well.
Anyone that thinks their job is exhausting should try a few weeks of working 2 early shifts, then 2 lates then 2 nights. One sure way to totally mess up your body clock, and be permanently knackered!0 -

Did they have ladies PJ's reduced to less than half price at all please?
when i popped in Ts yeasterday - they were reducingthe ladies PJs too - id say they were about half price, some a little bit more - the one thing i did notice was the Dressing Gowns - from 8 quid to 5 quid.... so quite good...
If they are not changed o the label though - please check, as i heard people say that not all was reduced... worth scanning beforehand. xxxProud Mummy to a new little girl - Phoebe... born 11 days overdue on 3rd Jan 2012.0 -
I reckon it's scanning 50 - 100 1p items through a SS till OR scanning 50+ items through when you know there's a glitch on them.

Good morning everyone :santa2:
Just a brief catch up from me after falling asleep at lappie again last night  and meant to be taking friend DD shopping to Brighton in 10 mins and nowhere near ready yethappymum2010 wrote: »OK not MrT . Does anyone know anything about the 1p Xmas trees in B&Q? Website last week said 1p trees from 20/12/11, was in yesterday and none to be found, lovely SA scanned loads for me but none there.
Did find mushroom growing kits for £1 got 2 as my mum wanted 1. Don't know if I would recommend them though, opened box only to find hundreads of tiny black flies dead and alive spent ages last night squishing them. You could even see all the larvae wriggling around in the bag.....yuk. I thing i will have to take them back they are totally gross.
Mmmm , these are called fungus gnats. They are tiny little black flies that lay there eggs in compost. Each fly only lives for 1 day but they breed like rabbits.
I have had the same problem with mushroom kits and some bags of compost. They will do no harm to whatever your growing but you will find it almost impossible to get rid of them.
The only thing you could really spray on them that won't harm the mushrooms is Pyrethrum as this is derived from a plant so its naturel not chemical.
In my experience though I would firstlt
y return the kit to B&Q then I would write to the manufacturers to tell them too.
It is the manufacturers fault that the flies are there as the eggs would have been in the compost before it was packaged up, but it's also almost impossible for then to know this.
I have given up with mushroom kits now as nearly all the ones I brought had the flies in and if you grow them in the house then you will be finding little flies everywhere for months.
I returned all of mine and the compost that had flies in, then complained to the various manufacturers and rec'd numerous general garden centre vouchers and product vouchers.
I have had this problem with Unwins mushroom kits and JA Bowers compost.
hthHow long should a cake last? We were tidying out the utility room cupboards a few weeks ago and came across something wrapped in tin foil. It was only our daughters 21st Birthday cake bottom layer completely untouched. We cut a slice and apart from being a bit dry it seemed fine. No mould or odd tastes
Seems remarkable seeing as she has just celebrated her 30th birthday:eek:
It is tradition to keep cake from christening and re-use for 21st Birthday or top layer of wedding cake, you are meant to remove the icing though or it won't keep. My mum did this with my sisters christening cake and even moved house with it , but my sisters 21st came and went and she didn't get married, then when she was about 30, my mum rediscovered it and offered it to her. After receiving a look of disgust from my sister, she fed it to the birds :rotfl: :rotfl:HappyChappy84 wrote: »Well......

Although I think most people had already guessed.
:T:T thanks for telling us HC, I for one had no inkling at all, but I'm really pleased that you feel comfortable enough on here to tell us all
:eek:Scratch that, meant to be picking my friends DD up now :eek:A clinically depressed person with a sleep condition. I'm in my own little world, but it's ok the people like me here
Any offence is not intentional, I'm really quite harmless0 -

Not at all ignorant. I value some of the teachers that both I and my sons have had. But the majority, sadly, I find very lacking.
Do you work every Saturday? Some Sundays? Bank Holidays?
That seriously affects family life, and puts extra strain on raising children on ones own.
We can agree to differ I believe. The mind is like a parachute. It doesn't work unless it's open0 -
Too many to mention, but some of them I would say are all the emergency services, and all medical staff (none of which is me btw!)
Personally I would hate to do a boring job. Mine is a bit frantic sometimes, with 10 things happeneing at once, but at least the drama keeps me awake when i've only had 4 hours sleep!0
