Kadison I am so sorry to hear your news, my mum almost died in 2007 due to liver problems from drinking but they said because it can repair itself if she stayed off the drink she should be ok, and she is so there is hope if she can live a bit more healthily *hugs* It's never nice this time of year is it x
Sorry to hear so many stories about people having liver problems but at this time of year it should serve as a timely warning to all. No matter how much free booze, meat, chocolate etc Mr T throws at you, your life and the lives of those around you are worth more than a few freebies so don't overdo it just because it's free:cool:.
I was given a very sobering and stark warning from my GP a few years ago: "stop drinking or die". It has been a difficult journey and I've fallen off the wagon a few times. Now it's under control(I hope) and I'm allowed a very occasional drink under close supervision (OH;)).. Up to a point the liver can repair itself but beyond this there is little hope and there are no warnings.Awaiting a new sig0 -
