Blimey - it took me 3 hours to catch up from yesterday morning!!

Thank you to those who gave thoughts and kind words yesterday. Mother-in-law has 'very severe liver failure' and 'quite severe kidney failure' . Her kidneys look good so if they can get them working again they should recover. Her liver however has had it. She has cirrhosis of the liver, caused in part due to her diabetes but I think mainly to her diet - she didnt realise you could damage your liver as badly eating fatty foods as you could by drinking too much alcohol! She has been obese for years. She is only 61 bless her but they said she wont be a candidate for a transplant so we just have to hope they can get a small part of her liver working and try and maintain (or in the Dr's word 'manage) it.

Anyway enough of the dampner stuff! I hope you are all doing well! Any chance of some of you posting piccys of Christmas trees or decs etc? Im having trouble finding my Christmas spirit lol!!

Hope you have a great day! xx

Will keep fingers crossed for your MIL, my mum had acute renal failure just over 3 years ago, it was only picked up in her annual blood tests that she has for all her other ailments. We all put how she was feeling down to the loss of my step dad a couple of months earlier. Anyway turned out one of the medications she was on was attacking her kidney so she stopped taking that one, started on a new course of other tablets and now right as rain, and kidney function almost back to normal. Isn't the human body amazing at times. :)
So hopefully your situation improves too xx
  • Hi everyone

Really sorry to be a pain, I've looked and searched but can't find anything about the duvets, crabbies or 1p giant buttons. Would anyone mind helping me out with the info please? I'd be really gratefull!

  • Morning all! I'm worried now....after Happy found me on facebook someone appeared in my close at 1:30am ringing my buzzer...explain yourself :D Going to Clydebank Friday...payday ;) Any good finds there? :D
  • Sorry to double post...but there is a possible glitch/good bargain out there :)
The squeezy mayos are .£2.35-2.50 each or 2 for £2. If discount works they are cheaper than a single + bogof...if not its free mayo plus money of your shopping :) I won't try because mayo makes me ill, but for any lovers out there ;)

Can I say . . . Motherbear, you thank everyones posts, which is very nice :) but we really wanna hear from you with your own posts as well. :j

Such a nice user name as well. :money:[/QUOT

Thanks for this Raven, I read all posts and thank the helpful ones and the ones that make me smile. I'm quite shy and only really post if I manage to find an item that someone has kindly posted about, think the only find I've ever had was the lilt/fanta one a couple of months ago.
I'm able to keep up with the posts as I rarely go out (agoraphobic for 8 years) Tesco has been my 'therapy' to help me get out a bit and is the only place I really go to, my CPN has noticed a difference in me since DTD.
Bet you wish you didn't say you wanted to hear any of my own posts now.

Anyway OH just phoned to say he'd been into a small T he rarely goes to and tried the OEP wraps but not even the 3for2 came off so he's just gone back in to (hopefully) get DTD for them.

I'm quite shy as well too, and try to keep under the radar but not likely with HC about :):rotfl:

    Loving the Tesco therapy :T
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

Hi everyone, normally a lurker on this thread as I haven't found anything to contribute yet, but there is a possible dtd on turkeys. I noticed that a few medium fresh turkeys had £28.00 in the price box of the label, but a big red label with £19 on too. It scanned at £28, but the customer service woman who had just shut up the till said it 'probably didn't qualify for dtd, as it wasn't an offer, just a till pricing error' - is this correct? If not though it should mean that you could get a £28 turkey for £10. It looks like someone has made a mistake when labelling the turkeys as not all of the £28 turkeys had the £19 sticker on, so I wouldnt make a special trip but worth looking for if you're instore!

Hi just to let you know customer service agreed dtd did apply and he said to go back to the store and they'll refund me the rest, thanks for your help and hope others can find them :)
