Sometimes posts just get "lost" when people are chatting away to each other. x

No it's fine, I was only saying it tongue-in-cheek hence the "lol", I know how fast this forum moves!

Sorry again things have got worse and you've had more bad news.....if it helps my life's pretty darn sh!te! :o

Sorry to hear that hun, it's not anything 'real', a friend of mine is pregnant and is manufacturing rows as an excuse to give me lectures, getting pretty tired of it. I mention the pregnancy as last time she was pregnant her personality changed and she went a bit batty and it's happened again. I just have to grit my teeth until May when she pops and goes back to normal!

If you want to chat my PM box is always there xx

I had to go out for tissues and more cold & flu tablets, so I treated myself to a mini visit to Mr T. Not sure it was a good idea, cos my head is thumping now, so it's back to bed for me.

Just a little update though, from Brack**ll north ..... I might have missed something, I was walking around in a daze.

    * I got the last cupcake mix, scans at £1
    * About 15 of the xmas cake mix left - SEL & scans at £2
    * I got the last 2 x pink Koko - scanning at £1.01
    * Dormans out of date pistachios still 40pish
    * Thorntons wrapped chocs mentioned earlier, scanning at £8 as per SEL
    * No cheap mugs or trays. No Mingles
    * No 1p giant choc buttons, or lucazade, or green tea, or Harry nuts
    * Couldn't see the frozen choc sponge for 25p that was mentioned
    * got a 4 pack of finest strawberry yogs whoospied for 50p ish (1/4 of normal price) Lots more in reduced section.

A family member went to Brack**ll Home plus at the Peel centre and they have Pink Koko and Mingles for £1.01 in stock, but no cheap mugs or trays.

Sorry to hear so many stories about people having liver problems but at this time of year it should serve as a timely warning to all. No matter how much free booze, meat, chocolate etc Mr T throws at you, your life and the lives of those around you are worth more than a few freebies so don't overdo it just because it's free:cool:.

I was given a very sobering and stark warning from my GP a few years ago: "stop drinking or die". It has been a difficult journey and I've fallen off the wagon a few times. Now it's under control(I hope) and I'm allowed a very occasional drink under close supervision (OH;)).. Up to a point the liver can repair itself but beyond this there is little hope and there are no warnings.
Well done Artha, I don't know first hand but I saw what my mum went through giving up and it wasn't easy for her or us!

Don't want to put anyone on a downer but a footie mate of mine died last week due to liver disease he was just 49 :( I'd only seen him the week before outside poundland. He was chatting to someone else but when he saw me he gave me the biggest grin :D Funeral is Friday :(
Sorry to hear that MM, its awful when it is so sudden, my step nana passed away Tuesday, her funeral is also Friday. Although she was very old still awful though.

Stark fact no matter how young you are an unhealthy lifestyle can get you, everything in moderation :)

Right sorry to have been depressing.

    *HUGS*

Kadison I am so sorry to hear your news, my mum almost died in 2007 due to liver problems from drinking but they said because it can repair itself if she stayed off the drink she should be ok, and she is so there is hope if she can live a bit more healthily *hugs* It's never nice this time of year is it x

Hi Beki, thanks but i think you might have read two posts one after the other and got them confused, it's someone else's mum who has the liver problems. I think it was confused with my post about my friend's mum dying this morning...

    Hope you're ok btw?

I realise now I never replied to the lady who posted about her mum being ill, I hope things go well with the liver trouble xx

Oh no, I dont mean to ignore anyone:(but I've not been commenting on posts as much lately or pressing the thanks button:eek: because half the time I'm skim reading because so much to do.

Really, I'm sorry I said that now, it really wasn't 'meant', it was just an "oi, I am here you know" sort of thing, childish I know, sorry if I've offended anyone xx

have just demolished my last TCO...its like the end of an era :( We did give a few to hubbys work team, playgroup key workers...and the mouse in the loft ate the rest...salvaged 3 which were wrapped up as presents...with one spare for me and DD1.....thought I'd treat her as we both have headaches today...DD2 is unfortunately obsessed with the signing xmas toys from Mr S last night...and insists on all 4 playing at the same time while she dances....hoping the batteries wont last much longer!! ;)
hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!
