Had a remarkably fruitful day at T's today.

Got Jumbo Cashews (42p) and Pistachios (39p), more Clipper tea bags (1p), 3 more Lucozade Shots (1p), 2 more Beef Jerky Nuggets for my friend's dog (1p), another Yoyo (20p), 1 Butterfly air freshener (25p), 2 Neutradol air fresheners (50p), 3 Halloween Illoom Balloons (88p), Duracell AAA Powerpix Batteries (50p), 4 Melita Perfect Clean thingies (1p) - no idea why as I don't even have an Espresso Machine...:rotfl:, and the last pack of Cadbury's Vampire Mallows (1p)

But the BIGGIE was a huuuuge leg of BRITISH Lamb. There was just one solitary British Leg of Lamb in the fridge alongside all of the NZ ones. Almost chickened out - but I went for it. To their credit the CS staff were really polite. (This wasn't the branch of T's where I do my main shopping -I'd have been severely trouted there).

The CS assistant asked to see the leaflet where I'd seen the half price lamb advertised. Luckily I 'just happened' to have picked one up on entering the store and had it in my carrier bag.

The assistant spoke with the duty manager and initially they were going to just refund the difference. They had even gone to the fridge and got a NZ leg of lamb out which showed the correct price, and were going to scan that but let me keep the bigger one. Eeek!:eek:

I gulped nervously and then mentioned DTD. They couldn't have been nicer, and the assistant said that she would just have to get the duty manager to approve it. The DM was absolutely fine about it, so I got a DTD refund of ........£22.69!:j

The leg of lamb is huge - says it feeds 10-11 people. There's only me and my 2 children in the house! Guess who will be providing the meat for our traditional New Year's Day dinner at my mum's house?

Thank you sooo much to all the OPs who find these bargains. They make my life so much easier and enable me and my children to have things I wouldn't otherwise be able to afford. :A

Hi pleased you managed to get your leg of lamb.I bought one of these last night when customers services was closed i rang tesco ho today and was told i can take just the receipt back to claim dtd as i dont have a leaflet can you tell me please when the offer finishes.thanks

Thank you, even though i was told i didnt need to i think i will take the leg of lamb back just to show them as my teascos will try anything to get out of dtd

Didn't see the Mingles, but the Beef Jerky Nuggets are Wild West ones - B/C last four - 9838. xx

Happy can't find the nuggets anywhere but the mingles just seem to be all of them, can't check barcode because mine are in the garage and I can't find the key!!!!

I found the Lucozade shots in a 'Normal' store. Didn't see them in an Extra and haven't checked Expresses. xx
