I have managed to buy some electrical bargains today (well I think they're bargains). They only had 1 of each left in my store and I checked broughton but none there. Chester home plus (sealand road) were all still full priced

I managed to get the OEP,but I`m not getting anymore dispite them glitching today

Ok, I've got a fan assisted oven and it says 4 - 4 1/2 hours so Leenie said 3.15 for hers but she's a professional I seem to remember;) so shall I check mine after 3 1/2 hours. Can you tell I've never cooked a Xmas cake before?:o

I do it for a living too :-) As long as it's not undercooked or overcooked, you can't really mess it up. They don't sink like sponge cakes do. TBH, if you follow the instructions, I'm sure it will be fine. When I have a fruit cake, I literally get past a few hours then check it every 20-30 mins with the skewer test.

Same as me, Everyones under strict instructions not to touch the oven and all I keep saying is I don't know what it'll be like!
Just nipped out to B&Q and Homebase, got loads of lovely bits all down to 25%:T:T:T
