Yes agree with nikki and others..........they are little for such a short time....make the most of it caz and you know more than most you never know what will happen by this time next year.....we could all win the lottery! !
Nikki sounds like you have done a great job with your DS he sounds lovely........
Kids are a blessing and like nikki I know how lucky I am to have mine (both IVF and many other complications) so hold you babies close no matter how old they are or how much they struggle!!
my mum gave me a little plate with this poem on when my DS was born nearly 18years ago and it has been hung on every kitchen since (we moved a lot!)
Cleaning and scrubbing can wait till tomorrow......
for babies grow up we've learned to our sorrow
So quiet down cobwebs....dust go to sleep
I'm rocking my baby and babies dont keep!
hugs xxx
CS youve got my mascara running now with that poem,:o:oReally out the door now, things to do, in case you lot have'nt realised it's nearly Xmas:T:T:T:eek:Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -
Nooooo, not embarrasing at all, very MSE i would say!!
And with regards to your DS and the Toy Story toys, i gave mine a couple of Toy story toys when they were between 2 and 3 and yes they got played with, but i would say now mine r 4 they are definitly using their imaginations more and buzz, woody, bullseye all come out to play almost every day and Jessie is coming for Christmas along with Slinky.. and Toy story will never grow old (well certainly not in this house anyway:D) xx
My DS1 is 12 & will not let me get rid of his Toy Story toys:T:TI say "THANKS" to posts that make me smile - Oh and really good glitches.:j

Chill!!!!!;)Xmas isnt Xmas without a bit of major panic, I never think I'll get everything done on time. If it makes you feel better I've sent out ONE Xmas card so far:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:And that was to Happy when I posted him a Cheeky Monkey 1p sign;)
But at least I've done the ironing:rotfl:
I do that and forget where I am! Yesterday when I went to real, proper shops it felt like I was on day release;)
That sounds cheap enough to me:T:T:T:o:o

I always used to look older than my age and remember being the only one out of 4 they didn't challenge going into a club in Newcastle many moons ago when I was actually the only one under age
Yep that was the one thing I hated about looking younger. My friends used to try and hide me going into clubs but it never worked except our one and only local club! This was when I was 15 however and considering I still get ID'd everytime nowlol!
It was quite upsetting yesterday as M-I-Law had been the full ticket but yesterday was very confused, kept stopping halfway through sentances and forgetting what she was saying and acting strangely. They are putting it down to the renal or liver failure at the moment (but I think thats only cos they havent got a clue why) She was a very large lady but has lost around 25 kilos (4 stone?) in a month since going in - she hasnt been eating! Once I speak to the Dr today hopefully I might have a few answers, then will have to let the family know whats going on.
Hope you all have a good day! xx
Kymie good luck for today, I hope you get the answers you, your MIL and family deserve. Thinking of you :AIt's embarassing knowing how much I have but how little I spent
Not embarassing at all, marvel at your stash with an air of pride and extreme satisfaction!! Merry Xmas MSEr's :money::T:rotfl:
Lol! I caught up before posting and multi quoted all of the above and then forgot to say anything else doh!
Morning everyoneHope we are all well. Looking forward to hunting down the choc buttons, fingers crossed....thought I don't think there's any in my local booo!
Did anyone get their JTD yesterday?? I'm still waiting on mine'There are people who have money and people who are rich' :heart2: Coco Chanel0 -

I have TS3 on in the background and I was wondering if DS would get to the stage of imagination play like Andy (the opening sequence in TS3 is fantastic). I always complained that my ex-step-daughter got far too much for Xmas but it was mainly because she got every single thing she asked for. I remember a couple of years ago opening pressies with her on Boxing Day. I'd re-labelled some toys from her grandparents and said they were from Santa as they ruined the spirit of Xmas by insisting all the grandkids knew who bought them the best toys (they're loaded). As she opened each present she asked who it was from and said "ohhhh that's exactly what I wanted" then literally threw them in a pile and they rarely got looked at. She actually found some pressies shortly before me & her dad split and she didn't realise she had them.
It's sad when a child has 1 Santa list at mums, 1 at dads then one for the rich grandparents.
I guess I'm just worried that TS3 is not long out any maybe something else will take over. A few more pressies wouldn't hurt I guess
I know this probably sounds very egocentric but I can't help but admire what I've accomplished in the last 6 months. When I go up to the attic I look around at the masses of toys for the boys. I see boxes full of toiletries that will last me a good couple of years. I see nice things for my new house like Denby and RSC pans and some nice bedding (no Nikki, that last bit was a figment of your imagination!). When I look in the spare room AKA the corner shop, I see enough food to feed us all through the zombie apocolypse (I love whoever described my stash in that way a couple of weeks ago!). I have enough wrapping paper to last me years which is just as well looking at the amount of stuff I have to give to my kids.
I haven't even had a drink but I'm feeling all emotional. I never imagined that I would wind up 2011 being a single mum but I have my fantastic kids who do me proud every day. I have my family intact thanks to mums quick thinking saving my dads life last Xmas. I still have a roof over my head. I have this forum and I have grown brass ones and developed a hide like a rhino from DTDing, glitching and whoopsie-ing (that's not even a word but a great past-time).
Right I'm away for a shower. I know it's late but DS2 isn't a happy bunny and I've been up half the night so a slow start to the day. Thank you all for your kind comments and a special thanks to everyone who finds & posts all the great deals on here :beer:loves a good glitch :j0 -
