Must be a man thing my OH will finish off whoopsies a lot more out of date than me.
He always brings up the Bruce Parry series, forget the name the guy who visits all the tribes and eats their finest delights. OH reckons it will keep him alive and kicking for longer eating a few bacteria etc, I'm not so sure but he has never come to any harm yet. There was a program a while back about Use by and Best before dates and they tested things for about 2 weeks after I think and most were still ok to eat. Did you see it?
Yes, I saw that! I've eaten soft cheese a month out of date before now, no problem! I can eat anything without getting an upset, I think of lot of people just go by the label when it's perfectly fine to eat...it's a well known phenomenon that introducing a bit of bacteria into the system helps your immune system!
this is a bit extreme but you get the idea!

What do they normally do with the receipt? Do they keep it, sign it or mark it in any specific way?0 -

Which is what they should do everytime and people cannot reprint then!!!
I have used about 50 jtd vouchers for various amounts from 10p to £20 and have probably been asked for the receipt twice.
I do not re-print and re-use vouchers but if Tescos staff did their job properly then there would be no chance of abuse in the first place.0 -

What a dilemma!! Harry's nutshave now appeared at my local

They are supposed to sign it and return it to you (exactly what every singe Asda employee does)
Tesco's cashiers vary from signing receipt and handing it back, insisting they keep the receipt to not even asking at all.

That's possible, but IMO its probably just more are being redeemed at the moment so staff are being reminded how to actually do them properly.
When the Guylian chocs were 3 times the price Asda were charging, its hardly a surprise in the current economic climate that people accepted Tesco's kind offer to print money for them!0
