:j:j:j:j:j Thanks Ali :j:j:j:j:j CS Trout tried to wriggle out of it by saying wrong product so got her to take me back to shelf and showed box with that barcode on it that I got gammon out of..She still insisted wrong product and that I should have checked the barcode :mad: That was it, politely asked for manager, manager duly arrived asked if label was on same shelf as product, CS said yes and blah blah blah, manager said did label description match product CS said wrong barcode blah blah blah, manager said our fault refund customer, trout tried once again saying that she wasn't allowed to do that refund so manager said refund whole product and let customer keep it :j:j Free £18 Finest Wiltshire Gammon Joint  MrT

Trout still had face like thunder through-out whole refund process which just seemed to make me even more determined to be happy....Think I need to get out more:rotfl::rotfl:

  • hi just back from getting weekly shopping at kn0ckn@g0n£y and wanted to update people on what is to be found there - lots of halloween (pumpkin and ghost) light-up balloons on clip strip in the party section scanning at 88p, big pile of leaf trays (already got 1 and don't need any more but assume they still scan at 1p, ecover laundry liquid rtc at £1-something down from almost £6. also saw lots of things which have been mentioned in here but didn't scan them because i didn't need them - cheeky monkey car sign in the car section, coffee machine cleaner on clip strip in the cushion/candle aisle and also in the coffee aisle.

things that weren't there that i would like to get - clipper green tea, koko chocolates (except the blue ones which were scanning at the right price), only 1 packet of dorman's pistachios (took them, sorry!), vegetable crisps, florida naturals fruit strings, sarah smith wipes. has anyone in b'fast or surrounding area seen any of these things anywhere? any tip-off's much appreciated!

OK, this is probably the dumbest question ever...apologies in advance, but I'm stumped.

With this whole price checker thingiemajig, when there's a diff between items at T & at A, for example the champers someone kindly posted up a wee bit back, or the temptations..... you don't get dtd for it using the price chcker thingie so wouldnt it make sense to just buy it at the cheaper place?

I don't get it.....call me a muppet. I remember that large Guylian choc box being £15 at T but only £5 at A. If you do the pricechecker thingie you get a tenner...right? So doesnt it make sense to just buy it at A instead?

Depends on if you take the original item back for a refund.

A quick rundown of scanners in S Wales stores-that I've found anyway!

P0ntypr1dd Upp3r b04t , working , in aisle to the right of the middle where the boxed longlife juices are.

T4lbot Gr££n xtra , working , in car bits section downstairs

Culvrh0use x xtra , working , in bike section straight on from entrance past the toys and on the left.

Noticed someone mentioned M£rthyr xtra the other day, I thought their scanner was broken could you tell me where it is if it works please? don't like to ask instore if i can help it!

    HTH:T

I don't really understand the woopsies everyone talks about? How do you get them, anytime im in I see reduced prices but its not even near 50% off never mind pence. IF it was chicken breasts that are outta date today, they'll be £2.85 instead of £3.50 - which i don;t think is worth it? Where am I going wrong?
I'd love to stock up on fresh strawberries and rasberries but I always pay £4 for two packs?

As others have said you have to shop in the evening. My store reduces to 50% off around 5pm and used to go to around 70/80% off at 8pm but lately been really lucky and they have been reducing to 90% off around 7pm but this has meant more people trying to get the bargains. I hang around for at least an hour as it all comes out in stages, meat, ready meals, veg, cakes and bread and flowers. Bakery stuff is always hit and miss only been 50% off last couple of weeks it seems to go up and down and is never reduced before the evening.

I agree about eating things a couple days out of date, it has never done me or my family any harm and I have been doing it for years. Have even eaten things 4 days out of date but I would not recommend it. I always have a good look over it and smell before a tiny taste. Mostly freeze fresh meat and fish and it's fine for ages.

Good luck if you go on a whoopsie hunt. Fruit can be a really good buy as sometimes not even ripe when it hits it's sell by. :)

Depends on if you take the original item back for a refund.

But don't they require the receipt when you use the pricechecker voucher? Otherwise they won't let you use the voucher...right?
:D if you don't have anything nice to say, keep schtum.
