What is amazing me though is how someone can quote one of my posts when it has been deleted. Maybe they shot themselves in the foot and have all but admitted they reported the posts in question? I guess it doesn't matter now but I know who to thank on Xmas morning when my sons eyes light up at the new films he's getting. After the last 6 months, that smile means more than anything and no amount of anyone trying to ruin that will work.

The post was there when I quoted it and for the record I didn't report it :p

I have offered codes on here and don't have a problem with anyone asking or recieving them altho I accept it's against the "rules", just found your post a little hypocritcal when you had been [STRIKE]asking[/STRIKE] hinting for codes the previous day.

That is exactly me right about now. have taken over the reigns from mummy dear and I just want everything to be perfect because I know it's something that we haven't had no disrespect to my mum there, especially as my Nan is coming up! I have this image in my head but I know it will be nothing like it :p

There have been some great tips so a huge thank you to everyone :)
fill them all up with too much sherry and all be fine, either way they won't remember :)

no, that wasn't me. Most likely they were reported to the Forum Team who then dealt with them.

They obviously couldn't have been that bad if you were checking the thread but leaving them (most are still up).

I second this suggestion but not sure it is a good idea to give the sherry to the kids :rotfl:

Yet your post offering an M&S voucher wasn't deleted. Hmmmmmm why is that?

Not sure what was hypocritical about my post. I knew there were posts that were bordering on being against the "rules" but they were still there so I was actually very confused as to what had gone on. After you posting however I find a post of mine was deleted and you were the only person able to read it and for quite a while the only person to thank the mod who did it so I naturally wondered ;)

And for the record, I clicked the link to my post you quoted within a minute of you posting and it had gone. You must have excellent timing :p

Me, I'm not a believer in coincidences.

    Evening all.
No T's for me today, my DD is ill again :( She has conjunctivitis and is rather grizzly. Had a bit of a break down this morning, the last 2/3 months have just been one thing after another (a lot more than I have posted on here about) and I am so fed up of it. Really wishing I hadn't volunteered to do christmas dinner as that is just another stress for me.

Anyway hope everyone else is ok. Glad to see lovecrafting is ok and Baileys too, hope your OH is keeping safe. When does his tour end? Hope he returns home soon!

I always try to get my veg prepared the night before, normally during that little bit when your waiting for the kids to go to sleep before Santa comes! Its fine left in the pans with cold water over night & means all that needs doing xmas morning is switching on. I also put the oven on timer so I dont have to worry about remembering to switch the turkey on.
Its not much but it helps me be less stressed on the day.

It's beyond my remit to deal with inappropriate or contentious (or potentially contentious) posts. Those must be reported to the Forum Team to deal with so I suspect somebody may have reported some of them.
