No mingles, no Koko truffles, no air freshner, no duplo, no littlest pet shop! Just got soaking wet!!! Although did get to see the Coca Cola lorry! (Well technically we went to see the Coca Cola lorry and then went to Tesco as we were there! cough cough!)

HI Legendmum, are you in L1ane11i area?
I went to see the Coca cola truck today there and got soaked too, i thought it was a bit of an anti climax tho as we were so excited to go and there was no christmas spirit IMHO the people handing out the cans looked totally bored, and that was it! line up to have photo taken at the front No christmas music playing at all! :(
We drove for about 1hr 15 min to get there too.

On the plus side i did get to visit mr t's there (never been in that one before) and there were lots of goodies.
I found CDM all marked up at 34p:T:T:T, Mingles i picked up 1 box for me and there were about 10 left but after shopping in some other shops went back to get more for teachers gifts but they had all gone! I got 3 leaf trays (3 left) 1 pack of sour fruit things 1p from clip strip. They also had the anti calc things someone posted last night but i didnt get any, also character bubble necklaces ( i didnt get any) Saw the lable for £3 haribo's but none there, and finally found some zubber charms but they scanned at £5 odd :(

The best part of the day had to be the drive home lol just because we were playing Christmas songs really loud and all 5 of us in the car were singing along :D Cracked me up listening to the kids all laughing and singing along and all pretending to be choir boys singing the really high bits in good old cliff's misteltoe and wine:p I was really impressed that the kids knew all the words lol

came home watched Christmas with the kranks that we sky + and then x factor and now watching Elf :D

caz2703, I can't check back on specifics as the thread is so long and fast moving but in general if users are asking for codes or offering codes (of any sort) by PM the posts will be deleted. Either they are reported to us or they are seen by the BGs or the forum team. Sorry I can't help more specifically but it is a full time job just keeping up with you lot as it is ;)

Thanks to everyone for your replies, shouldn't really have a moan on here as I know there are people going through a lot worse. Just really struggling at the minute. Normally I can deal with things but its literally a new problem every week and not getting time to deal with one before the next comes along, right after I made my last post I knocked some milk over on the carpet and spent 10 minutes blubbing about it!

With regards to Christmas, there will be my mum and nan (nan is travelling over 200 miles to come up) both elderly and ill so can't really rely on them too much, step dad who hasn't cooked in the last 20 years, brother and his girlfriend who won't be here while literally just as dinner is being put on the table, and then my OH who has already been told he will have to help. I have just never cooked for this many people, and my kitchen & oven isn't big enough and I am thinking why the hell did I offer I should have started small haha.

Again sorry for having a moan.

Beki88 - just wanted to add my virtual hugs too - as mentioned, for xmas dinner, do what you can in advance. I have previously cooked xmas dinner from scratch and stood peeling sprouts on my own in the kitchen while everyone else sits on the sofa getting merrily sloshed. now I order as much thats pre-prepared as possible so it's a whack it in the oven / microwave job. Remember, it's your day too so take some time to enjoy it, if anyone wants to grumble about the time dinner is ready, or how anythings cooked, feel free to remind them they are more than welcome to have cooked it themselves ;)

i think many of us put a lot of pressure on ourselves at this time of year, trying to create the 'perfect' christmas, but unless you're Kirsty flamin Alsopp or Jamie Bloomin Oliver with a nicely staged home and a film crew and some soft lighting, hicups will always happen.

This is a time of year for everyone to enjoy so try and take a little time out just for you (even if it's just 5mins with a cuppa) xx

I agree - slimming w0rld plan gone to pot and sitting here drinking a bottle of free strawberry cider, and eating 1p Dead Heads after a bar of CDM :o:o:o:o

PLEASE Mr T, can we have a great glitch on low calorie food :D

Yep, although hubbie and I both come from North Tyneside which is on the Newcastle side of the 'watter', we both support S'land. My Dad, hubbie's Dad and his 2 sons all support N'castle so lots of ribbing done, all good humoured of course

He can't shower if he uses his shower cubicle to display his 1p buys ;)

Dare I admit to this, sis and I are from Sunderland, We've been up here since I was 9. Mum and sis are still classed as newcomers in the village:rotfl: but I was a bit more 'accepted' due to working on the farm, meeting other farmers/farm services and picking up the doric lingo.

I consider myself Scottish though. :)

Well I'm from the Sunderland side, but I'm a magpie.
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

  • Evening all. Hugz to all who need one, well done to n e 1 who has found a bargain and good luck to n e 1 who would like some for a future job, interview, exam, general life problem or their next trip to Ts.

Not read back yet so will be popping off to do that in a sec. Not been to Ts this weekend due to being so busy. Not sure how the Medieval Archery party went yet, waiting to get the feedback from parents as to how many kids got sick on the junk food OD lol. Had 23 kids going wild after a sugar enhanced banquet, was so shattered that I fell asleep at 8.30 last night. Gonna mellow out now with a bottle or two of Lindemans shiraz-cabernet, ah bliss.

Littlewoods, Redoute, Sainsburys, Vertbaudet et al.... problems that really threatened the site so it is understandable the rules were tightened up considerably.
Redfox you are one of the better mods out there that can spot what is a joke and what is spam, i see the thing about codes and i know some will abuse them if allowed but can we not allow codes like ("disney, andrex" etc) as i don't see those being a big problem like the others? :)

I got mine in an Extra. I left loads too! There was no SEL on any of the ones I saw. They are quite expensive though if they are anything like the Red Bull shots, anywhere between £1.50 and £2.50.
