Can you let me know details from the user checklist. Page 20 on the manual I have found.

Geotherm, only the red light is on, which means that the heat pump is working. Temperature shown on panel states 38.6 degC (see page 17)

Bob, Calorex tech man came out when system was being commisioned.(About 6 months ago, since then the heat pump has been turned off). He said the unit was fine, the problem was elsewhere and left it for the company that has since gone bust to sort.

You have 2 red lights on? Mains & Programmer or not, as both should be lit according to the manual,
If both are on, you need to go into the system tests P18 f/g. Let me know how you get on.

Bob, only the one light is on (mains red lamp on far left). As far I remember, this has always been the case, except when the defrost or fault lamp came on.

You should have both lights on. You need to access the control panel on the right hand side and switch the control system on.

Hi Kopthat, sorry to hear you have had a bad experience, Calorex (ex swimming pool Heat pump) is not the correct unit for your application, (easy for me to say that, not much help to you), I would be happy to help you go through the controls to see if we can get the heating on, although it may struggle to start with. let me know what you want to do.

Just been having another look at the manual, which is a little confusing. Before you try the above, press button "p" on the front panel and see if the programmer indicator illuminates. If so then you need to go through the setup. If not, it may be that this was disconnected as the unit was not going to be used for some time.

Hi Geo, reading through the OP's comments, the system is actually working, as the temperature is showing 38.6C, I would hazzard a guess that the system has not been on long enough or it is being controlled incorectly (i.e. going off over night or for long periods not allowing the under floor heating to get up to store temp) or even, the heat curve is not set for the temps we have, so the installer has never set the parameters for the local area temps.
